Absolutely fake if you cut USB cable's red wire it will not work. They are using specialized boxes and uploading to gain money. those who says successful/ working/ bark bark bark... are also mobile technicians , also using boxes/cables. Nokia/samsung/mi/all vendors uses same usb cable just posts are different. So don't waste your money by cutting usb cables. Rather find the nearest technician and ask how much will he take for this.
