I heard this song on the radio the other day, and I was addicted to the sound. I guess you could say it's kind of contagious hue. I was surprised to see this group is signed to Sumerian Records because I've been a huge fan of that label for a long time now, and you rarely hear the local radio stations play any music they sponsor.
Idfkconnor i would say that if they heard from the radio theyre the complete opposite of a hipster. hipsters find this stuff on their own "before anyone else does." xD
Brian cabe there's a festival called Chill on the Hill here in Michigan in September that they are preforming at so I'm listening to them plus some of the other bands that I haven't heard of preforming there
One thing I like about this video is the humility of their lighting choices - while their look is inspired by Billy Idol and the Misfits, they are less interested in being a fashion show displaying the band or the singer than having the band dimly lit and vaguely defined, like a Greek chorus, or ghosts conveying a message to the person they are haunting. This makes the video less about the singer and more about the visual and sonic ideas they are projecting. I love it!
Completely sounds like The Killers but that is not a bad thing in the slightest. This band is beautiful and I'm so excited for them. Nothing wrong with this song and I love how subtly eerie this video is.
Could not be more proud of these boys. Travis, Nick, Matt, and Mikel all went to my high school and were originally known as PK. They then changed their name to Night Riots but look up their old stuff its really good. THS FAM!!
For some reason, this band reminds me of The Killers. Of course, their both very different bands and I think both are amazing. I'm so glad I found Night Riots! I can't wait to see them in Warped Tour 2015!
Been loving this song on Alt Nation for a while but just caught the video and WOW! I can't get enough and hope seeing them this month at The Empire will not disappoint! New favorite band - love their sound and all the other tracks are equally as impressive. This band is going places and they deserve it!
I have seen Night Riots come so far from when I first heard them back in 2007. Their sound never ceases to amaze me. Each EP and CD they bring forth holds a different vibe and tells a different chapter. Altogether each chapter can be seen as parts of one entire story. So proud of you Night Riots. Can't wait to see what you come out with.
@@TaraRenaeDavis they were a band called PK before, I met them back in 2007. They changed their name from PK to Night Riots upon signing with Sumerian Records. :)
Found this song recently and I just wanted to comment to hopefully get the Big AL going to get more eyes ears on this song, even if it is 6 years too late. Let it be known that this banger of a song hasn't been forgotten!
Saw this band at Warped Tour, Washington yesterday. Never heard of them, and didn't expect I was going to like ANY bands at the event. This is now one of my favorites and they entirely made going down to Warped Tour worth it!
Heard them for the first time at Warped Tour last week and fell in love with their sound . Now Im addicted to them. I guess they really are contagious.
Recently drove through Templeton CA, which is the small town of these guys in central California. Crazy to me how this band is still not producing amazing music. And they are just as amazing live. Still love listening to their tunes.
@@Jekyll_Island_Creatures can't get enough ;) breakin out the leg warmers as we speak. I just listen. These guys are so esque that i just can't get enough. love this sound.

+Torbjørn Oskarsson and a little bit like the singer from the killers too. my sister says his hair reminds her of Cry Baby. I kinda agree. And I agree with you too.
Amazing song. Loved it immediately upon hearing it live last week when Night Riot opened for the Mowglis here in Boston. Travis Hawley--you are one amazing front man. Your showmanship blew me away. I like everything about this band.
The song is so amazing that it makes me want to live on a full (however lyrics absolutely different). I wish there were much more songs like this one (like this music, like this voice). Amazing.

Don't be, don't be so cold
Bones rust decay and mold
Head first, it is what it is
Youth lost kicks us to live
I am contagious, I am breaking down
I am nothing, I am no one's fault
I am contagious, I am plagued with lies
Flesh of our fathers, I am no one's fault
Let go don't be so vain
All the masses all the names
Look out and into the sky
Full of light, fullof life
I am contagious, I am breaking down
I am nothing, I am no one's fault
I am contagious, I am plagued with lies
Flesh of our fathers, I am no one's fault
Crystals in the night, we are surrounded
I am contagious, I am breaking down
I am nothing, I am no one's fault
I am contagious, I am plagued with lies
Flesh of our fathers, I am no one's fault
One of my new favorite bands! Sounds like something from the 80's my mom said
Yes! When he sings the chorus it reminds me alot of Robert Smith's young voice from the Cure.
dude my pops said the same. funny
***** The fact you know who Alphaville is speaks WORLDS for your musical knowledge. Ten A++++'s for you.

Here because of Corona Virus. But man this has been my favorite song since 2015. God bless the Night Riots.
COVID-19 brought me here, again.
how are they so underrated?
Shhhh、that's Top Secret。

@@michaeljoynt9257 cuz if they’re underrated that’s less people who can experience the beauty of their music.
Facts dude

I listen to this song at least 5 times every day for the last 3 years

Love the chorus. No doubt this album will be awesome.

So awesomely 80s New Wave! And the lead singer...so beautiful!
