  • This is Jugasri Joy Sarma from the beautiful state of Assam.
There are 2 ways to reach Dirang from Guwahati. One via Bhairabkund and the other via Bhalukpong. And both of them meet at Tenga Valley.
Arunachal Pradesh has an unspoilt landscape with vibrant culture, marvellous nature’s beauty, and warm people.
We are travelling from Tezpur, and it took us around 30mins to reach Balipara. We have to travel straight, touching the boundary of Nameri National Park and Forest Reserve.
Nameri Reserve forest was declared as a wildlife Sanctuary in 1985 and as a National Park in 1998. It is famous for tigers, elephants, the famous white-winged wood-duck (Deo Hanh) and other rare species of birds and rare species of fish in the Jia Bharali river.
If you want a video of Nameri national park, do comment below. I will make a video tour of that.
Around 40 minutes from there, we reached the check gate Bhalukpung where they verify the inner line permit.
Arunachal Pradesh falls under a restricted area and so official permission is required by visitors to enter the state in the form of an Inner Line Permit (ILP).
You can apply for it online by paying the fees and uploading necessary documents on arunachalilp.com/.
The normal rate of eILP is Rs.100 per person and, for instance, is Rs.400.
If you are on a budget, you will find a hired taxi from both Bhalukpong and Tezpur, but a permit is a must.
The cool breeze, fresh air and the sound of a river flowing along mesmerized our souls and made us part of it.
The roads are mostly well maintained, but it's preferable to have an experienced driver behind the wheels.
The best time to visit Arunachal is from October to April. During peak rainy seasons, it's challenging to travel these roads.
Hilly areas are always associated with landfalls, so always drive cautiously.
Nagmandir falls in the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. The place is 135 KM from Tezpur (Assam) beside Kameng River.
On nag Panchami day, every year a big pooja and mela are held and devotees from far off places visit the mandir.
After offering our prayers, we started again on our exciting journey for Dirang.
Travelling with a hungry stomach is not possible. We stopped by a local food stall and had some snacks and a hot tasty, full of ginger tea.
And we reached the Dirang entry gates.
Then we headed towards Mandala Top.
The roads are quite narrow, so drive cautiously.
Mandala Top or popularly known as 108 Mani is a relatively new attraction of the area.
As we started to move forward, with height, the temperature started decreasing and we spotted signs of snow near the roadside.
This white beauty pumped my heart with excitement and was hungry for some photoshoot.
Do take special care while driving or walking here as the roads may get slippery due to the snow-covered roads.
The Mandala Top is located around 30 kilometres from Dirang.
This is the 108 Buddhist stupas built in 2018 and is also completely FREE to visit.
You can donate some money if you want to.
The stupa here is square in shape painted white and with a yellow golden rooftop.
Local people belives that if you circle all the 108 Mani and ask for a wish, that wish gets fulfilled.
The vibrant ambiences of the place make taking photos and selfies, a must-do activity over here.
The Mandala temple is not finished yet and at the moment all that’s there is a concrete structure.
I wanted to stay a little longer, but driving at night is not recommended on these roads and terrains.
The Dirang Botique cottage is located near the river and it's a beauty of its own.
The roads are still under construction.
We have to cross a hanging bridge to go to the cottage.
Are you tempted to see the full cottage video, then subscribe now and stay connected with me.
    Happy Travelling, See you soon.
