Its always advisable when learning to fly a plane to make sure there are plenty of trees, powerlines, buildings & people to crash into, dogs off the lead are also an entertaining prospect as they sprint towards your crashed plane & rag it to bits b4 u can get to it.
hey rcplanetim here.. ive been flying all my life.. this reminds me of my learning days when i learned and no-one flew,, that was about 31 years ago it was a cox american eagle i treed it.. and in no time.. but over time i got better.. so i say let him learn. and encourage.. so keep em flying man,, and good luck!!! i have some planes on you tube,, if you would like to see them just type in rcplanetim in the search bar. i bet you are all ready better..
That is true. My reccomendations for beginners are to try alot of different things at a high altitude so they can see things go wrong without having to actually hit the ground. Learning a little theory and rehearsing how to control an airplane helps to figure out what to do more quickly and avoid crashes.
Typhoon... ups.
I hate that, when you fly for ages and your not that bad anymore, so you get yourself a new war plane and BAM! it crashes. Dont worry mate, i've been there and done that.
1st rule never panic ( maybe get a simulator to make you feel well trained enough ,not to panic ) 2nd rule try to level your trims out to 0 ON THE GROUND 3rd rule SMALL inputs 4th rule gain altitude before doing stunts ( yeah i dont care for my spelling, so please save your hate comments up for someone else , thanks )
de flüger isch aber huere hart im neh...übung macht den meister :) erinneret mich a min erste "fasch-unzerstörbar"-elektro-flugi...gwichtig uf "fast-unzerstörbar" :)
i did all the crashes too but after awhile you don't crash and just get better all the time. occasionally you'll have a crash or two but not like when you first started.
the planes I've seen in the vid all look to be way too tail heavy. additionally i think it would be a good idea to get stronger motors to prevent the planes from stalling.
Good on ya,best choice for your first plane, get on the simulator first, you will pick it up really quickly, kids these days play computer games so are nifty with their thumbs, clubs aren`t my thing too many rules and red tape, find a big open area and away you go good luck
I think you would have had so much more fun if the C of G had been moved forward and the plane didn't want to stall all the time. It would make it easier to control too!
True. But you don't have to crash to learn. I actually just wrote an ebook on how to get into park flying annd learn the essentials of setup, control moderation, orientation and handling techniques, plus key tips such as throttle management. See Park Flying for Everyone E-RC Guides on Facebook. It is key to get the right starter airplane. Not a Mustang to start with. I reccomend the HobbyZone® Champ, Multiplex's EasyStar®, plus GP's® FlyLite™ in my ebook.
that cessna is rock solid gotta luv multiplex quality, would of been better to start 3ch or with very low throw on a aileron bird, on my first flight i pulled up hard right straight in and broke my wing low, and aint crashed since then got 1 year under my bely now but still learning but crashing is half the fun lol
Exactly!! Everyone these days wants to run before you can walk re flying!! Even had 747 captains who think they know better than experienced modellers. Result? - Their pride and joy turns back into kit form!! Get a buddy box and an experienced person to teach you properly!! (And "pulsing" the sticks is NOT properly btw ;)
This plane seems badly out of trim. Tail heavy. Also needs down thrust on the motor. DO NOT THROw IT UP. Straight and level at half throttle. IF it starts to settle to the ground add a LITTLE throttle. Better to do a hand launched landing than a short flight/stall/crash. Keep adding throttle until it climbs gently. Do GENTLE turns. If you get dis-oriented, turn your back to the plane and look over your shoulder.
ahhhhhh hahahaha how many planes u guys got? this is why i gave up after crashing my first plane and went to a traxxas Jato ! :P much much much more fun !
I have a MiniMag too and it's interesting to see these flying with the same characteristics. I don't think they're actually very good flyers, they seem to drag their tails through banking (no matter how much you play with CG) and they have a rather nasty stall. I expect the Fun Cub would fly better, I don't think I'll be reccomending the MiniMag to anyone. The Easy Star looks great though :-)!
I bought myself a quadcopters...I will never go back to these plane again lol I broke too many of these. Spending hundreds of dollars and crashed it within 10 minutes of flight.
@biker1078rr i think you need to calm down. Because actually it is pretty warm over here even today no where near summer there was not a dusk of wind. just making a point
well the video is old 15.10.2006 so not that cheap or good flight simlators as today and allmost no 2,4 GHz so the nosedive of the multiplex easystar ( bluewinged plane ) was probably interferrence :/
P51 is looking a little light on the nose and over responsive or over controlled. The others look nose heavy and over controlled on the elevator. Easystar pilot error.
I noticed a trend with beginners that crash... THEY TRY TO LOOP OR CLIMB TOO QUICKLY!!! Note to beginners: don't do that, okay? Get down the basics first or you almost certainly will crash your nice, new, shiny plane. Just go in level circles for a while. Either that or because they bought a jet. If you buy a jet for your first plane, you're gonna have a bad time mmkay? I know they look awesome, but they aren't for the beginner. Get something similar to the Super Cub DSM or even an ultra micro like the Champ. It's cheaper to get a little trainer to hone your skills on then buying a better plane than it is to buy a good one first and buy 50 replacement parts when you keep crashing it before you are good at it.
I don't think those aerobatics were intentional, looked like the planes were really tail heavy, which generally causes them to pitch up violently and make them really hard to control.
Shufty mosly look nose heavy with too much yanking on the elevator stick. Tail heavy really is unflyable and much mote rapid in pitch changes including tucking under.
Very good. My learning was from many sources, over time, and involved some very interesting experiences, both challenging and positive. My ebook helps beginners to start succesfully, avoiding uneccesssary mistakes, expense and crashes and hastening advancement to a mustang or other low wing. The key tips to ensure the development of great flying skills are provided. Feel free to ask any questions, please consider recommending First Flights to any friends just starting out. Christopher
I have no videos but i will be filming in the spring because im only 13 but im getting a Super cub from horizonhobby.c om and me and my dad are going to learn how to fly

Looks like all of you were having a great time. That is the whole point of the hobby. Great video!
hey rcplanetim here.. ive been flying all my life.. this reminds me of my learning days

It remind when I started this Hobby over 2 decades ago . My plane got stuck in a tree too! LOL.
Very good video

Learning a little theory and rehearsing how to control an airplane helps to figure out what to do more quickly and avoid crashes.
Looks like a lot of fun though. Wish I was there!
its always nice when you see one of the first yt videos
the before and after pics are the best!!!!
Typhoon... ups.
i feel like a better pilot after watching this..... Thanks
either that is the toughest Rc plane ever, Or you have a few dozen at your disposal.
looks fun
hahah, reminds me of my first flight :) like the "hohoho" laugh in the movie! hahaha
These guys are totally rippin on eachother !
Das 51 kapoot! Heirman Goering would be proud of you. You get Knights cross with sardines.
I love it. Great job guys.
Damn, that is one resilient airplane!
Trimming the controls and backing the throttle down a bit are more than just concepts.
nice 2 see guys treating these delicate pieces of scientificly procisional instruments correctly,
Greetings from Welshenror (SO).
sometimes its fun to fly a tail heavy plane really I kid you not if you can get it back in one piece you can fly anything
Thanks for sharing! Makes me feel a lot better about my learning progress...
I was laughing and crying at the same time :)
I hate that, when you fly for ages and your not that bad anymore, so you get yourself a new war plane and BAM! it crashes. Dont worry mate, i've been there and done that.
Well it's impressive!! All these tries and not getting better!!
1st rule never panic ( maybe get a simulator to make you feel well trained enough ,not to panic )
2nd rule try to level your trims out to 0 ON THE GROUND
3rd rule SMALL inputs
4th rule gain altitude before doing stunts
( yeah i dont care for my spelling, so please save your hate comments up for someone else , thanks )
I'd love watching these guys fly a gas powered ones those go fast.. I recommend Great planes Rc simulator lol
de flüger isch aber huere hart im neh...übung macht den meister :) erinneret mich a min erste "fasch-unzerstörbar"-elektro-flugi...gwichtig uf "fast-unzerstörbar" :)
You managed to crash an easystar, thats quite impressive. :P
i did all the crashes too but after awhile you don't crash and just get better all the time. occasionally you'll have a crash or two but not like when you first started.
Its Switzerland. But if somebody feels like complaining about the flying weather there, try go to Denmark and then return happy.
I had to wince when the guy was rolling all over the show with the p51. Ouch!
the planes I've seen in the vid all look to be way too tail heavy. additionally i think it would be a good idea to get stronger motors to prevent the planes from stalling.

good camera control
WTF ??? what is this plane???? MORE durable i have ever seen in airplane world... im so amazing about ur fuckin crash and the plain still flying..
that cessna is rock solid gotta luv multiplex quality, would of been better to start 3ch or with very low throw on a aileron bird, on my first flight i pulled up hard right straight in and broke my wing low, and aint crashed since then got 1 year under my bely now but still learning but crashing is half the fun lol
A gyro only corrects unwanted roll/pitch/yaw caused by wind. It does not correct wrong input :)
thats camera man almost got a new hair style..lol
i cant belive that thing still flys after it takes those crashes
the last plane that crashes when he brings it back it have a blob of dog turn on the propeller lol hahaahahha
man ive done that too lol, thanks for video

Omg all tail heavy..... If u buy cheep xxx use your brian before flying... Learning some basics needed.
Egor Glukhov nose heavy.

what was that 1st plane? it looked like a fairly small 4ch plane.
very durable planes. A bit tail heavy that cessna?
Save yourself some money my friend and get yourself an rc sim!!!!! you can crash as much as you like and it wont cost you a penny ;-]
amazing
LOL when it went in the tree!
ooo very tail heavy!!
I bought myself a quadcopters...I will never go back to these plane again lol I broke too many of these. Spending hundreds of dollars and crashed it within 10 minutes of flight.
In most of these flights the plane seemed to look tail heavy
you'd have thought that after failing to fly it properly by manhandling the controls, he would have tried a more gentle approach.
is the second plane a multiplex minimag
Do yourselves a favor, find a club and join it and get some instruction. Also, get a good simulator... it helps with learning orientations.

Your remark is smart... Ghe
Right i learned my lesson doung that
wow a blue wild hawk? i want it
those are cool planes. where did you get them?
P51 is looking a little light on the nose and over responsive or over controlled. The others look nose heavy and over controlled on the elevator. Easystar pilot error.
my first one fly`s in to a house trough the windows :D
That p51 looks hard to fly.
stalling the hell out of that thing
well crash crash crash but still good fun
where did they get all the planes from ?? they rob a hobby shop lol ?
Should get an award for boredom!
Glad im not the only one.....
How many planes do you buy?
Where do you buy these planes?
wow some people have no clue how a planes behaves in the air.hahaha
I noticed a trend with beginners that crash... THEY TRY TO LOOP OR CLIMB TOO QUICKLY!!! Note to beginners: don't do that, okay? Get down the basics first or you almost certainly will crash your nice, new, shiny plane. Just go in level circles for a while.

Dude i'm British and we have nice weather. All places have bad weather at different times so what you hear about Britain all ways being gloomy is not true. Every were gets gloomy at some point.
hey bacon burp hows your summer going
is it the same plane? or you bought 30
4:49 fuckin beautiful scenery
Why would you try to fly a P-51 if you can't even fly the easy star?
@MrGimli2
It's the real one: The Multiplex Easystar.
