After listening to a video on Romanian vs Italian, I saw in a comment that Romanian is similar to Southern Italy dialects, maybe from Puglia because the Romans colonising Dacia were from Southern Italy. Now finding this video I heard a couple of expressions which sound similar. Like the lighting a fire one, who made this, did you play. Thank you guys. So cool. ruclips.net/video/IJYzYHNMyKg/видео.html
Ah well @@KFJN so my fathers family is from Apulia from Bari. So it is close to the Napolitano. However all of these Napolitano, Barese ,Calabrese and Sicilian were part of The Sicilies. Apulia includng Barese and Salentino are from Apulia- Calabrese is closer to Sicilian. However, my uncle in law was Calabrese and he could understand my fathers whose parents were from the Apulia region from Bari. Salento is in the region of Apulia Salento (Salentino: Salentu, Salentino Griko: Σαλέντο), also known as Terra d'Otranto, is a cultural, historical and geographic region at the southern end of the administrative region of Apulia, in southern Italy. It is a sub-peninsula of the Italian Peninsula, sometimes described as the "heel" of the Italian "boot".
Maybe a dialect of Neapolitan, definitely not an Italian dialect. Not intelligible to standard Italian speakers...
Absolutely. You stand correct. At one time like today things remain very regional and tribal in the Italian peninsula.
Its Barese we dont want to be intelligible to standard Italians.. Cigyowwn
i'm hearing about this language for the first time today... video is nicely done
OMG we are from Giovinazzo and i cant stop laughing.
Please do more of these. I’m Calabrese and couldn’t understand a word of what he said 😂

More please! My family came from Bari and they speak dialect. Given that many of them have passed now, it’s nice to be able to keep hearing it :)

Wow nothing close to Sicilian
That's because it's not Sicilian 🤣
@@TweekerDub lol, correct!
Correct. The southern Italian mainland is mostly of neapolitan roots, while the southern extremities like calabrian, salentino, are of sicilian roots.
@@KFJN the dialects are
