Thank you for this video, I am studying South America and Paraguay in class at the moment and this video and the other South American videos you have posted have become a great resource for getting a feel for the countries and rail systems!
Colectivo de NSA y brujula ruta PY03 transnorte Itinerario viejo de tte villalba en 1984 a 1997 retirado mudó a licitación de dinatran nuevo itinerario av. Semidei en 1998 tramo Asunción a Buenos Aires
It is not really in operation, it is only for exhibition and tourism, or do you think that all the passengers are dressed as if they were the 1800s? hahahaha
Nowadays we have 430km/h train and 1200km/h vacuum train prototype. The right wingers want trains totally removed out of sight in fear it would connect the continent. I understand that rail cannot be maintained in Paraguay due to economy and other issues. Keeping one diesel or petrol railbus imported from Japan(Nageha or Niigata-Kawasaki type) in a museum just moving back and forth for a few hundred metres on weekends would be a good way to preserve history. The problem with steam locomotives is that maintenance and operation have become almost impossible to be continued.

Great job . Beautiful train . And thanks for posting . Peace and love to all the people of Paraguay . Ireland 🇮🇪 & USA 🇺🇸 .
Looks like a nice comfortable fun ride, shame that it ended in 2009 due to a damaged bridge on the line, I hope they bring this back soon

Sad story. While some countries are developing trains that are faster than planes.
