Agreed. The look and feel on these is just right. As soon as I got them in hand it didn't bother me that I paid 2X retail. Top 5 of 2022 for me!
They won't fall apart. They already used these materials on previous blazer release. A faded black SB pair and a white pair for Day of the dead. Both are holding up nicely. I have given both of them a cleaning too and they come right back to that out of the box feel.
I think when looking at past models "the 85 og's" I've seen people who've dead stocked theirs 3 decades and they've crumbled on the soles, ankle liner crumpled, crunchy on feet/stiff asf shoe all around and rotten egg smell. What's the best way around this it gotta be just to wear em right but to a point where they're in great shape and still preserveable? Would a 12× wear outta a year prevent this to years to come when you finally hit 20 years on a pair and you either find out it did or didn't make a difference. I think occasionally wearing em is the best way to prevent the eventual crumbling. They may not at all just cuz you wore em

Love these shoes. Brought mines out on my birthday (April 5th) and got tons of compliments. These will definitely be in rotation for a long long time.
Sidenote: I love switching between AJ1 L&F and my Bred 4s. People see these two shoes and instantly ask about my collection lol.
I was able to double 🆙 on these retail (SNKRS EA and Hibbetts online). I plan rocking a pair with the cream/ sail laces.
I’m not the biggest fan of black laces in Jordan 1s.

My adidas Denim Italia SPZL just arrived as I write. The first Italia was released in 1960. It is the basis for many running shoes that followed.
The first Denim Italia dropped 22 years ago. The only way to cop prior to SPZL deciding to attempt a new version… and it’s truly a new version… was a used resold pair.
They are perfect in their simplicity. I will likely cop one to stock if possible. I don’t fancy waiting another 22 years.

Awesome review as always man. The only sneaker I really really wanted last year and if there was only one I could keep in the collection the Chicago 1 would be it. It’s hard to explain, but after copping my pair I feel an inexplicable satiation for sneakers - it’s almost as if this is the only one I wanted all along and everything I have been collecting so far was just trying to fill this void. I am going to slow down on my collection, think harder before I cop cause I feel I have what I really want now.

I love these shoes. The only thing that I don’t like is the caller. Wish it was like the 85. Not angled forward. If you do a side by side you can really see it.

So I had them. Sold them. Probably will regret it, but grabbed the reimagined white cement threes early, they are probably better even though my favorite silhouette is the 1!! I’m looking forward to the royals reimagined.

The Story is just trash for this release.because nike was the company and they cancel the "Mom & Pop Stores" in the past. and in the past the support from the mom & pop stores was financial a crucial thing for nike. good review from your personal view but this model with this story is just a good marketing not more.
