Thank you for this, I really appreciate the comparison of the new and the old brush. I have the original Yachiyo brush and I looooove the shape of it but my skin is on the sensitive side so I was hoping the new synthetic one would be softer. We don't have Nars in store near me so I would have to order it online but I will pass on it now 😁 Thanks for saving me the $$! I may just have to get Hakuhodo instead!
New synthetic Yachiyo is ‘softer’ than natural Yachiyo but if i compare with other synthetic brush in same shape, even synthetic Yachiyo isn’t soft, in fact it’s rather stiff. Hakuhodo Yachiyo is soft and heavenly and Large Tapered Yachiyo brush from Hakuhodo is the same shape and size as NARS Yachiyo. :-)
Thank you Robin, I look forward to continue watching you and learning from you. Keep up the honesty! (P.S. you said you'd link the brushes- Nars and the truly Japanese one but I dont see a link. Would very much appreciate if you can "link me" in the right direction🙏🙂).
Hi Michal thank you for letting me know and here are the details For NARS Yachiyo brush (synthetic material) at USD40 www.narscosmetics.com/USA/yachiyo-kabuki-brush/0194251005584.html?cgid=brushes For Hakuhodo Yachiyo brush (undyed natural goat hair) hakuhodousa.com/collections/japanese-traditions/products/yachiyo-large-tapered at USD 50 I personally feel they both are quite pricey and Nars is $40 and synthetic material but considering that MAC had changed their brush material from Natural to synthetic and never deceased their pricing i think nars is considerably and moderately priced as a high-end cosmetic brand also much more accessible than Hakuhodo. While Hakuhodo online store ships internationally. However investing money on tools is a good choice because without good tools it’s hard to achieve good makeup. :-)
I really like your review, I would like to ask you which brush that suit for loosing powder and 2 way powder? Please recommend. Thank you in advance. Looking forward to hear from you.
For loose powder i would go with something big, fluffy and flat brush like.. new nars powder brush which i previously reviewed that one’s good and for 2 way powder or powder foundation i would go with dense and round brush because it polishes skin while buffing. Like Estee Lauder powder foundation brush is good or simply you could just use a powder puff or a sponge for most highest coverage for 2 way powder and powder foundation 😊
@@Whoissrobin Thank you very much for reply me very soon. I will use sponge for foundation like you recommended. So cool, since I had it already, don’t have to buy. But for NARS brush it’s not Precision Powder brush, right? For eyelash curler, will you recommend SUQQU? I just saw in review. Pls. recommend. For Shisedo Tsutsu Fude, I already ordered. For eyebrow, will you recommend JUNG SAEM MOOL Masterclass brow brush? I really like your opinion, hope not bother you much. Thank you in advance :)
I found nars yachiyo brush at tj maxx. when i took it home and used it i was thinking wow its rough maybe i had bought a fake?? But nope thats just how they are lol *do you have any tips on washing them? How do you clean yours?
Hi~ if you bought Yachiyo from TJ Maxx it should be authentic and old nars yachiyo brush. It’s made of natural goat hair and pretty scratch to the touch honestly. I mean it’s not the softest brush but one of those high performing brush.
@@Whoissrobin thanks for the conformation! I still like it i use it for powder under the eyes. I love the ita brush as well. Ive been using baby shampoo to wash them because i feel like goat hair is more delicate
Ita is nice brush too i use it for contour and highlight or as a finishing brush. When washing your brushes, you can use just conditioning shampoo for natural fiber and gently squeeze water out then let dry under shade. For synthetic fibers… i just use deep cleaning foaming cleanser or dishwashing liquid because they don’t really get damaged but little moisture or emollient will make synthetic bristles stick to each bristle and become tacky maybe i will film how to wash brushes tutorial
Great video, I have this brush & i love it i use it with the nars bronzer it looks so beautiful & airbrush.

@@Whoissrobin They really should make a less scratchy brush for that price 😄 That's great to hear, think I will just get Hakuhodo instead 😍
Very nice color and light blended application
Excellent review. Just what I was looking for. Thank you so much!
