I play as Georgia. - Timurids survives are rival me even if i was constantly increasing relations. - Mamaluks get obliterated - Muscovy have the worst game in its live and get occupied by Lithuania. While i was trying to help Muscovy the Ottomans attack me.
I did a blind run before watching this video. I didn’t got for the PU and just went for the alliance with Muscovy. I had the timurids, Ethiopia, a buff hungary, and venice as allies. Had QQ and Mushasha as marches, and Crimea as a vassal. 3 times Russia declined a defensive call to arms with the ottomans. I had full relations and 100 trust, and I could’ve beat them with Russia. Instead, I had 2 wars where I got a white peace/some money. Unfortunately the ottomans seem to have endless manpower, so even though I was winning battles in the first 2 wars, and had succeeded in holding my own, the 2nd war renders me in crippling debt, with no manpower and a 50k stack reduced to 6k men. By the time the white peace was over, the ottos declared war, and Russia fucking declined the defensive call to arms again. Couldn’t do anything there, and chose to restart. Felt like Phyrrus ngl.
Georgia run = RNG hell Ottomans first war Trebizond, second war took Crimea, third war Napoli, next classic expansion and be 1200 dev power, WTF Ottomans? Timurids not fall and expanded into Ajam, Circacia is a Great horde tributary and Moscovy never help you but call you to push into great horde....

Got the opposite RNG. Circassia had no real allies in first war. Got loads of golden horde in next war. QQ got triple war from Mam, Aja and me. Timy beat up Aja, so subjugation was easy. Then steamrolled Oto with Mam. Formed Byz around 1500 and on course for Roman Empire in 1600. Along the way got restoration with Musc. Feeding them constantinople trade money and Muscovy has 100k troops.
I think The best Way is to use muscovy for great horde then ally with poland and austria, I got it after me and muscovy fought off ottomans, break aliance with muscovy and start fighting ottos any time they try to take over mamluks. Never be mil tech down and fight only in good terrain. Also creating Gazikumlu as march is really good I think.
Hawk this is perfect timing. Been trying to get a Georgia run off the ground for the last 24 hours and it's been difficult! AQ always allies Ottos, Shirvan always allies Ajam, can't fight Circassia as every single run they are tributaries of Great Horde! Thank you!
In my run QQ attacked me and so I was able to take Armenia. Then AQ and Ajam partitioned QQ. I invaded Trebizond, but right as I annexed them the Turks attacked. I took out max loans, hired a bunch of mercs and with the help of general “alt” and general “f4” I beat them and took max money. This meant that they didn’t help AQ since they were in debt, so I managed to invade AQ and take all my claims.
I allied up with theodoro, Trebizond + Gazimukh for my 1st war against Circassia who was Great Horde tributary. Promised land to Gazimukh and used they and their vassal for siege bait while I took Circassia. I declared for Alania so that the province Gazimukh had claim/core on, they had to transfer if they sieged it. I took all of circassia while they sieged Avaria, then I took it back while they sieged Circassia. After that, I just waited until they walked into any province that wasn't steppes and beat on their 2 stacks. Then I rushed Sarai. I called in Theodoro and Trebizond mid-war. While I took what I needed, Great Horde was seiging Theodoro. Got enough war score for Full annex of Circassia + Teker, the province you have claim on. I've yet to jump on Gazimukh, since they got an alliance with the Ottomans days before our truce broke, but I was able to take Armenia after that, and after a small period of consolidation and gaining spy networks, I declared on Shirvan who allied AQ+Ajam. I'm gonna take Eruzmmu + Kurdistan from AQ, and full annex Shirvan + the 1 province from Ajam in the war I'm in right now. My current financial situation looks bad, but I'm allied to Lithuania, Muscovy, Hisn Kayfa, Kazan, and I've vassalized Trebizond.
@15:20 I recommend taking that mission once Muscovy gets admin tech 9, that way when they get tech 10 and turn into Russia you can PU them as Russia, which is much more beneficial.
40:25 Georgia has a semi-unique, far superior version of Defensive Stance called Reinforce the Synaghks. It's positioned weirdly compared to other unique gov refirms, so I see why you missed it, but it's *so good* that picking Defensive Stance is a trap
Hey Red Hawk, little tip for you, when the enemy has unconditionally surrendered, if you shift+RIGHT click, it will get you the max amount of Ducats possible without going over 100% Warscore, so you don't have to click down thirty times.
@@theslenderfox That's if you left click. Left click gives you all the Ducats they're willing to give you, right click on the maximum you can take (it will even show if their not willing to give them to you). The second option is capped at 100%, the first isn't for some reason
@@thehildabeast100 Shift+Right click will get you to maximum money under 100% warscore (though not necessarily an amount that the enemy is willing to give you), whereas shift+left click will get you to the maximum amount of money they're willing to give you (so if you're at like 40% warscore it'll select the maximum they're willing to accept, if they unconditionally surrender it will select the maximum amount of money, even if it takes you over 100% warscore.) So if they've unconditionally surrendered, or you want to see how much money they have in total, you can right click, otherwise you left click

If you start right away with currying favors, it takes about 9 - 10 years to vassalize Trebizond, which is not that long. You will have them before integrating Samtshke. Better to keep 'em around for a little defensive buffer in my opinion.
The new zoroastrian persia is a blast to play i formed them up and they get so much production power and trade power its crazy i was making 300 ducats by the 1550s, you get to manipulate silk and gem prices as well as getting extra production on them permenantly.

This gameplay reminded me about the time when i last played Georgia (achievement run for own 3 Georgias) and it was i believe after leviathan, and damn this was a point when the allies in eu4 where incredibly unreliable and when you were a minor they never accepted the call to arms, this was so annoying because i was allied to Muscovy and Austria-Hungary-Bohemia and both of them rejected my defensive war against ottomans (although being rivals with them) because they had like 500 ducats in loans, however i survived thanks to trebizond fortress where i took all the battles, damn that run was satisfying

The initial war against Ottos is manageable with good RNG/Allies, but my last test game… I went bankrupt in 1455, after recovering Greece, and 90% of Naples… all due to a misclick on loan repayments. Excited to see a Byz video from you! Ludi and Habibi already have good tips, so eager to hear yours.
Tbh I have been keeping iron man mode off to save-scum and try different strategies, seems to be the best way to figure out how to play hard countries.
40:24 Why take Defensive Stance over Reinforce the Sygnakhs? Seems like that reform is just DS with even more buffs. I don't see why you'd ever choose DS when the other one just seems so much better. It has the same modifiers as DS, but adds -25% fort maintenance, a futher +1 attrition for enemies and -20% recruitment time. The attrition and fort maintenance seem like a no brainer option. Is there some reason I shouldn't be taking this reform over DS or was this just a mistake because it's a new unique gov reform? Edit: I just realized this isn't a new gov reform and applies to the Caucasus region in general, just haven't felt a need to really play in the region until now and never noticed.
Are the Ottobros back in town? They were doing aweful in a lot of my playthroughs prior to the patch/ DLC, but they popped off in this one. Could be that mystery "proximity" AI buff too...
My boy haven't gotten the dlc, but in my theory, have you thought about expanding into Naples if they are independent, and before they get allies, before fighting ottos in order to get the dev you need to remove the debuffs on the army before Otto war? In the meanwhile you can wait on catholic AE, and get claims on Tunis to war them after the Otto war and expand crazy, and to help all of this you get diplo ideas first, and admin ideas second
Bruh you should have picked Georgian unique tier 5 gov reform which is even better than defensive one because it has all of those bonuses PLUS others like reinforcement speed max attrition and fort cost
Currently doing the Georgia to Byzantium path, turns out if you form Byzantium you don't get their government reform that gives pronoia. Boy did that suck to find out that deep into the campaign.
They made some changes since this dropped. Can’t do that first mission as they changed starting legitimacy. It is not easy getting this campaign going now that’s for sure. In the words of hawk, it is pain. 😂
@16:59 as far as I can tell this mission is bugged because you don't get either of the rewards in your video. Apparently you need to actually have loyalty at above 40 for all estates to get the first reward
This legitimacy mission, and burgundy's pu loyalty mission are some of the dumbest missions in the game. If you can complete a mission without unpausing it needs to be changed or reworked.
Bro can you make guide on ardabil? It's just seems like pain in the ass tbh. If you manage to conquer Azerbaijan area and even tabriz province there's really aggressive taimur empire ready to eat ajam then you're his next target. I'm really struggling with aggressive taimur in my run.
What nations *would* you suggest delaying the golden age for? Most of the time it seems the best idea is to use it as early as possible so you can compound on early gains.
Definitely not as early as possible. Wait until you're going to spend the maximum amount of mana points, say you've just unlocked your second idea set and are expanding like crazy. MAYBE if you're about to fight a critical war. Triggering it just to trigger it is silly.

I just bought the DLC yesterday and didn't play any of the revamped nations yet. But now I can't get Georgia off my mind. Edit: Unfortunately, it looks like you're not able to complete the first mission before unpausing anymore.
Impossible to have this luck. 3rd attempt and I felt really lucky on my last attempt, but it's nowhere close to this guide. Trying hard to complete this horrible start as ironman lol
The Georgian culture belongs to two cultures groups? Byzantine and Caucasian? Because when playing Byzantium its already in the union, although its red when owning Georgian provinces. Is this a bug or am i missing something?

I had a run, it was going pretty well... until the Ottoman nation attacked, Muscovy betrayed me and Poland dipped pretty soon. The run was pretty dead after that
Did you noticed that Muscovy is really useless ally,who always refusing join to war or immediately ready to lose diplomatic reputation instead of join defensive war, which possible victory gonna be on Defender side😢 P.S it's my fourth time to play as Georgia and Muscovy plays like asshole(which trolls you everytime)

The day zero strat to complete the mission no longer works in the latest version of the game. This is because you no longer start with 90 legitimacy 😢
The goal can still be easily achieved by using Strengthen Government. So no reason to worry!
I think you should stay allied to Muscovy until they form Russia, and then get the PU CB.

Somehow I got a PU over muscovy while having negative prestige. No idea what to do with them since they are 100 times stronger than me

There is no reason to get the diplo reduced cost mission part since your starting vassal has your cores in it

The Georgian culture belongs to two cultures groups? Byzantine and Caucasian? Because when playing Byzantium its already in the union, although its red when owning Georgian provinces. Is this a bug or am i missing something?

I had a run, it was going pretty well... until the Ottoman nation attacked, Muscovy betrayed me and Poland dipped pretty soon. The run was pretty dead after that

Did you noticed that Muscovy is really useless ally,who always refusing join to war or immediately ready to lose diplomatic reputation instead of join defensive war, which possible victory gonna be on Defender side😢 P.S it's my fourth time to play as Georgia and Muscovy plays like asshole(which trolls you everytime)
