Now that I think about it, Gangplank Galleon was the only DKC Trilogy Final Boss Theme never to make it to DK Land (and the GBC version of it was slightly different from the original while the Land versions of the other two Final Boss Themes were much more similar (especially Crocodile Cacophony)).
This is one of those cases where the music fans of video games get it right where the actual game producers don't. This is how the Gangplank Galleon should've sounded like in the GBC version of Donkey Kong Country. It's like they went really really cheap in a lot of the tracks, like the Treetop City (or whatever that was called) and Life in the Mines. I actually created an 8-bit version of the latter yesterday.
No I mean the darkest lord has two songs while you’re fighting him, when you damage him enough the song changes. I’m guessing you mean the first one to play
I'm back and I have to say you're right, they're very good! The HD remaster is a bit odd sounding, but still great. The Smash Bros. one is *super* fast though. It's craaaazy!
