    If you have the proper tools and some junk electronics built with SMD components, with some practice, working with SMD is not bad. And this is from someone who learned to solder building point to point kits back in the 60s.

    Most PICs have the ability to use a 32.768kHz watch crystal for time keeping. There's no excuse for it not being able to keep time.

    I think these were $399 when I bought mine. Should've grabbed some spare tubes at the time too, oh well!

      Those tubes sure are expensive and hard to find now! At least they seem to last a long time
