Yawt, heat exhaustion is a serious problem, much more than just being overheated. I’ve been there&done that personally and it’s really as sick as I’ve ever been. Cramping, vomiting, losing the ability to move or even walk. And it can even kill you! Get some ice , plenty of water ,and Gator Ade . When you start cramping or getting dizzy, it’s time to stop. Much worse if you fell out the deer flies , horse flies, bottle flies would have a feast! Not to mention the angry hogs that might come back for retribution 😵💫😖😖! Obama commissioned the NWS to take into consideration "climate change" with all their data sets in 2015 through presidential mandate as he was leaving office. According to NOAA's own temperature data this year isn't any hotter than ones in the past. It's actually about average and the long term trend has been cooling over the last 30yrs.
We have all missed you Yawt! I know July is a slow month for ya but we miss your face! It does seem like the bugs go in cycles. This year it’s flys, spiders and ticks. Hi David you know you can put a Roll of charmin in a gallon ziplock bag and put it under your seat in your truck so you don't waste your socks I have used socks before I'm a Deer hunter and I found out the Roll of paper works so well in the woods and you can have it when you need it just put it in the truck plastic bag keeps it dry and ready for use keep up the great work with them pesky hogs and helping out the farmers and feeding them family's in Mississippi don't forget to keep a roll in all your trucks so you are when the pain hits and your in the woods God Bless and stay safe love what you do so folks can enjoy your show
David, you need to get a neck gater. You can find them in Wallyworld in the camping section and also in restaurant supply stores and websites. They are like a cloth ice pack that you wear around your neck and they DO help fight the heat. That and to keep hydrated are the best bits of advice that I can give you to help beat the heat. You need to keep water with you, so you don't get dehydrated. I learned my lesson allowing myself to get too hot. I was making some flower boxes & did not have any water. When I stood up to go in my house, I sat back down, as I nearly fainted. I got in the house, which was cool & just laid on the floor. My cat came to see what was wrong & laid down beside me. I got cool enough to get some water. God bless you David.

Hi David, you need a head net , We use them in Australia. They keep the flies from going up your nose and in your mouth. , The worst ones are called harvest flies. They stick their like glue. Keep up the good work love your videos knock them on the head cliff from Logan city, Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺 from the big island 🏝️
David, stick your elbows into cool water for a couple of minutes. The blood coursing through your the elbows goes straight to your heart - and then through the rest of your body. It will cool you.
David a word of advice. Spray your hat and clothing down with permethrin. It will keep ticks and flies away. It is the main additive to the elimatick hunting suit. I use it every hunting season. It works well. I even spray my yard with it 2 to 3 times a summer. Hope this helps!

David what might help a bit is a face mesh veil when the bugs are real bad, it will at least keep them out of your face. They are light weight and breathable, give it a try. A wise old man told me when I was young, there's two things you always have in your truck....water and toilet paper...always. You have a good one now.
David. Buy a head net. In West central ILL, in the spring we have Bull Gnats, then horse flies ,deer flies.Those darn bull gnats form a cloud around your head. All will send you running. Also "skin so soft" seems like it works for me. I saw that sneaky deer fly land on your neck, I yelled at the TV. You can't feel those suckers land, and boy they will make you squeal. My skin is crawling just thinking about it. Please buy a head net!

Heat exhaustion & heat stroke are nothing to fool around with. Get yourself a camelback for when you're walking or a canteen. In northern Minnesota, we use deer fly patches. You put it on the back of your cap. It is a double face tape, sticks to your cap, and it is flesh colored, then you have competition to see how many flies you catch, it works great!

There is a fly repellant called *Buggins* ... Its natural no harmful chemicals. Smells great and the all kinds of flies don't like it a bit. I had flies swarm me for weeks when I was in the service. Glad I don't have to worry about that anymore.

Just a suggestion - for such hot, humid temps - try a wet towel from your cooler wrapped loosely around your neck would help a bit with the heat...also one piled inside your cap will keep you cooler too... less lightheaded. Heat stroke is no fun... Also, on bad Deer fly days, keep a Bee Keepers hood, or Alaskan No-see-um head net covering in your truck, put on when they're bad. You are a smart guy, I am sure I am not telling you anything new. Best of luck!!
An alternative to the bee keeper hat is a trick used by the bushies here in Aus before bee keeping became a thing. Get a hat with a brim all around and hang corks on strings around the edge. The movement of your head keeps the corks swinging to keep the bugs down. Stay cool my friend.
I’ve had dangerous heat exhalation this year and it’s nothing to play with!!! Yes get you a cooler to put inside your truck. With your phone overheating you can’t call for help. You do a great service but not at the risk of your life! Take care❤

Add a bag of 2 or 3 rolls of TP in the back seat so to do 2 is not a problem in the woods!!! Holding back the 2 is not good for your colon... Bad Medical Problem!!!!

Hey David. We are a family of beekeepers. May I suggest you use a beekeepers hat with the vail to protect you from the biting flies..
Just a suggestion - for such hot, humid temps - try a wet towel from your cooler wrapped loosely around your neck would help a bit with the heat...also one piled inside your cap will keep you cooler too... less lightheaded. Heat stroke is no fun...
Also, on bad Deer fly days, keep a Bee Keepers hood, or Alaskan No-see-um head net covering in your truck, put on when they're bad. You are a smart guy, I am sure I am not telling you anything new. Best of luck!!
An alternative to the bee keeper hat is a trick used by the bushies here in Aus before bee keeping became a thing. Get a hat with a brim all around and hang corks on strings around the edge. The movement of your head keeps the corks swinging to keep the bugs down. Stay cool my friend.

Add a bag of 2 or 3 rolls of TP in the back seat so to do 2 is not a problem in the woods!!! Holding back the 2 is not good for your colon... Bad Medical Problem!!!!

David I'm glad to see you are back but don't be trying to have no heat stroke on us ! There should be a spray or something you can put on to stop those horseflies from biting you so bad.
