I finally bought mine after putting it off for a couple years. Big enough to run our race trailer. Quiet enough, but still more noise than I anticipated, compared to the 3500.
Had to buy one the day off the bomb cyclone that hit Washington. Paid full price even though on the 25th it goes on sale for 300 off for black Friday. I didn't run it the first night, being cheap I knew I could return it for full refund if not used. But alas no power next morning so filled the oil and hooked up the propane tank did a short run no load, cool down then another light load for abit. Now we are off to the races, running about 1000 watts continuous ( tv, fridge, freezers and blower on gas furnace )with a couple of coffee maker or microwave bursts thrown in. Was able to get 11 hours out of a 20lb tank.
I had no idea what a bomb cyclone was before this comment. Seems like a pretty scary event. We have tornadoes here in OK but usually we get some sort of advanced notice. Glad the generator is working out for you and hopefully you get power back soon!
What a great review!! Good job man! Just picked mine up. One question I had was did you get the warranty? Not sure if these things turn out bad after a few months since there pretty new in the market Thank you
We did not buy the warranty this time. While making the review we definitely put it through its paces and since my primary use is as a backup for the house and camper, we won’t use it enough to really have a failure in the next couple years. (Hopefully) if I was buying this to run on a job site every day I 100% would have bought the warranty. If you decide you want the warranty I think you have like 30 days to add it after the fact also
I got a 25% off coupon and wanted to buy this. Looking at reviews. 1st time on your channel and new sub. Based on thr houses are you located in OKC? I live just outside of norman and was like this looks like OK based on the homes lol
Just bought one of these in middle Tennessee. LOVE IT!!

Good break in oil! I like to add a shot of zddp on the break in for engines with cams and lifters. Not sure about the 5000 engine though!
did you try the decibels on eco mode? curious if that makes a difference.
Great got us thru Helene
That’s good to hear!
Just bought one and i live at high elevation and camp / hunt at even higher here in eastern Oregon.
I went to a food truck event. Most of the food trucks had Predator 5000 or 9500 generators. Thinking of getting one for the house.
For sure. I see them every day on construction sites too
in my area the 5K unit is going on sale for black friday. save $300.USD.

Read the instructions lol I’m a real man. I don’t need instructions lol just playing and always read your instructions.
The more money I spend the more likely I am to read the directions
That’s a 23 feed man is where they measure decibels

i have a little dog house for it.
Wyoming!!
Now that sounds like a bucket list trip!
@@ProjectCentralOK I did the jet install on mine generator last night. I live at 6,200 feet
If you move the generator off the concrete into the grass, it will be much quieter.
Don’t run it on grass or dirt/sand, it draws air from underneath and grass restricts it. Dirt and sand get drawn up into the air filter as well.
