The reason to not run quest is because regular quest warrior is better than odd quest warrior due to all the extra board clears you get which makes it insane against any aggression. Baku warrior is a fatigue deck it doesnt need to kill your opponent
well lots of people do play odd taunt warrior at lower ranks. but it kinda defeats the purpose of playing baku. if your goal is to get rid of your starting hero power then the only reason to upgrade it for the first 8 or so turns is if it doesn't really cost you much. of course, most of the best cards for control warrior currently are odd cards, so it's less of a cost than it is for other controlling decks, but at the same time it's a lot less of a reward since you're replacing it with sulfuras in long games anyway. i don't think any of them (taunt warrior, odd warrior, or the combination thereof) are top tier decks but my guess is you'll have the best experience at low ranks using regular taunt warrior, and at high ranks using odd warrior without the quest. just no reason to play the quest at high ranks since nobody in legend is playing decks with any real late-game inevitability right now. at the lower ranks you have to contend with less aggro and a lot of people playing frost lich jaina and deathstalker rexxar. and sulfuras absolutely nuts on the death knights. still doesn't beat kingsbane but that's a rare one to see

I play a variation of this. Id remove one of the whirlwind and replace it with the quest. Sure, its a little weaker against Paladin, but pretty strong against nearly everything else.

Having played a lot of tempo mage over the last few days, I'm not convinced that the matchup against control warr is even that bad. On the way from rank 7 to legend, i almost usually beat control warr and almost always beat quest warr. Aluneth is a good card.

That Kingsbane Rogue would have won way sooner if she would've gone for he face after the taunts ran off. It was pretty obvious Trump didn't have any more of them and Rogue would have survived the Tyrantus and all easily at it was just 1-2 damage a turn for her. Rogue was just 4-5 turns aways from killing him with 11 damage Kingsbane... She BMd
The Meta is nothing but quest wars, quest priest, a few jabberwockys with a sprinkle of random mages doing tempo or ele. The priest are absolute cancer

He didn't have the Mana that turn, and it would have been killed by next turn. It was kinda disappointing to watch that because he kept getting cards for combos, right after he would be able to pull the combo off. He could have won if he had the Mana/time to pull off some of those combos
