They are doing amazing visuals with the lowest budget that they can get away with (to cut costs, not because they can’t afford it) and working wonders while doing so. So much so, that if I were making my own version of the video, I’d make it so sunny it’d look kind of like the Lowkey As Hell video colour wise. This song just reminds me of getting through that time where I really didn't want to be in the life I was. The colours and pulsing light remind me of burning film, and with the multiple reflections that act differently - which one's the real life, and which are the other eight? - stopping and going like they're being toyed with, it's like a person curating his own film reel; he picks and chooses the frames that get to stay, and while we - outsiders - see him through the shot at the start (white, calm, no reflections - reality), he can see his handiwork - the fantasies and frame edits and alternate happenings, i.e. his desired "secret life". He can dream about not being feeling so cold, blue, and gloomy. (Or that's how I see it~ >v> Also, I love that jump into colour in the beginning, I keep repeating it!
