Mr. Williams, please accept my offer of constructive criticism. Consider changing the format of the interviews, as it now comes across as formulaic and not well researched. Instead, you can put the facts across in the form of a question, asking for their insight/ further elaboration on a tidbit you came across during preparation. It will ease the burden of them carrying the interview and also assist those who may not be as verbose/talkative. Instead of asking how the project is doing commercially (who’s gonna say “poorly” in any case? Plus the charts are publicly available) ask them about their creative process, inspiration, influences, etc. please also limit the lecturing. I know it comes with good intentions but it comes across as rather patronizing. With the show’s shift towards highlighting emerging talents (which is to be commended) there should also be a reimagining of the presentation. This show is a pillar of our industry and it should continue to hold it’s place in that eco system if the producers do not rest on their laurels. One love.
