Sociology is really amazing. Really helps me view our society and the world in an alternative and realistic point of view. I have a GCSE in Sociology, but I didn't pick it as an a-level, because I picked Media studies instead. I may consider doing a joint degree in Media and Sociology in university. looking really forward to it :)

My careers coordinator told me she saw me as a sociologist, but being the critical person that I am I just brushed it aside without really knowing what its all about. But now shes the one who takes the last laugh, know to choose the right subjects to get into uni!
Ok, I understand what questions can be answered through sociological study, but if we answered these questions then what will happen? what kind of advantages will a sociology student have? in term of money, job market etc. For example, engineering students have skills to produce something useful, a machine, or any other thing which are present today and these things have economic value as well. But what are the sociological productions which have economic value, and which are useful to society?
