Seems a bit impractical to me, especially since you can't easily put the cord back in. Same thing could be done with a regular hank of cord and a knife, and done better at that. The only thing this does is protect the cord, which is nice, but there are plenty of better ways to do that. Though, the spool inside it is nice. They should sell that separately, if they don't already.

Quick deploy bracelet on left and "mad max" style on right. I wear the quick deploy on my wrist and the mad max on my ankle. There's a video of the mad max style on RUclips,this same channel actually, very easy to make. Tried posting pics but it didn't work. I personally prefer the mad max style even though it isn't quick deploy. Just make the loops tight and it won't pull loose all day.
And there are lots of other designs out there. Lots of ways to make a quick deploy bracelet, lots of ways to make a quick deploy hank for storage. Search for it in the search bar and you will find tons of videos on them. And here's a tip: don't tighten them too hard. The harder you tighten a quick deploy, the harder it will be to take apart because of the friction. Tighten it to where it doesn't slip, but don't pull hard. And there are quite a few different quick deploy designs out there. Tying it all together has a few, and there are tons of others. There are also a lot of nice ways to tie cord for a backpack that are easy to take apart. Just type it into the search bar and you will find lots of videos on them. Looks bulky compared to a 50' hank of paracord coiled.Depending on where you wore it on you belt, accessibility could be awkward.
