Gr8 Layout - I’m a big fan of The West Country Line & GWR historically, and up to present day - I can see a definite “Nod” to Penzance & Long Rock features as I watch this Vid - I’ve never been a Fan of Pacers or factory weathering or parting with hundreds of Pounds for Mediocre Models, (personal choice), however that being said, your cam shots have made it look really Good as it Runs around and rather Reminiscent of many Rural Lines I remember including Dawlish, Paignton & Tiegnmouth etc - As you say Once it’s done a Few hours of Running in, & with the addition of some paying passengers and a Crew, it will be right at Home. Nice review Richard. As despised as the pacers were, I definitely have one if I still modelled OO as they were in abundance in & around South Wales. The weathering doesn't look too bad, maybe a little heavy on the windows but bodysides & ends look ok. Cheers, Ben.
He's definitely already got his eyes set on it! I'm sure now that we've had the GWR stuff on the layout for a few weeks now, we'll need to switch it up soon!

Just a thought, could the issue over the more complex pointwork be down to flange clearance- being a quite long rigid chassis it might struggle over the double slip and the three-way point. I won't be getting one unless they (or Realtrack) release the 144 in the first iteration of West Yorkshire Metro. Ideally I'd want a 3-car unit but beggars can't be choosers!

My older Hornby pacer has the exact same issue with points as well 😅
