Would def be great as a replacement for that pack 👍 Not sure if the capacity is higher and the weight lower for the GG pack compared to the Exos? Appreciate you watching bud!
@@DaveOffGrid Mine just got here. The green/grey one looks a bit more snazzy. I'm 5'11" and measured 20" and got the medium. Seems like a good fit. I think the large would have the waist belt on my hip bones - did that with an osprey bag and complete misery after 3 miles so I think it's a great fit. Great bag! Thanks again!
I have th mariposa 60L pack too. I have the green/gray large pack with large hip belt. I also got the large phone pocket and the upgraded seat pad to go into the back of the pack. I done around 500 miles so far and I love it. I would recommend it to any new backpacker. My only issue is I hike with my dog so I carry much of his gear so I am pushing the weight limit with this pack so I might have to get a more padded pack if I continue to hike with my dog.
Great points! Thanks for watching! Glad to see it's held up great after 500 miles on trail! I'm loving the overall design of the pack so far. Hip belt pockets are a little small but I love the lid and the lid closure!
Thanks bud! It's a unique design for sure and I'm not sure how it would handle larger loads since it doesn't roll down. But I still really like it's simplicity. Yeah it would be nice if that part was waterproof but I love it for stashing things separate from the rest 🙌
@@GoneFeralWithSquidly thanks for watching and subscribing Squid! You have a cool channel as well 😎 If you want a smaller pack (with no load lifters) the GG Gorilla pack is 50L. Very similar to this pack, no split side pocket and slightly lighter. The Arc Haul is solid 👍 I'm looking at the Nero for a UL load out.
whats your height? im 178 cm tall and my torso measures at around 52 cm so im right in between the M and L. I live in Thailand so there's no where I can try this pack so which size would u recommend?
Thanks for watching! You're about an inch into their 'large ' size. I'm around 19 inches so I fit into the 'medium' pretty well. I know how difficult it can be not to try out a pack before you purchase! Obviously each pack fits each person different so I can't be the end all on your decision. Good luck!
@@razvanmarinescu9062 thanks for watching! here's the site you should reference. For the medium it mentions normally fits up to 50cm torso and folks 5'5"-6". If you're taller maybe go for the large. Again just my opinion here! www.gossamergear.com/products/mariposa-60-lightweight-backpack?variant=29560217484
@@DaveOffGrid I have 2 G4-20, size M and L, size M is a little small, size L a little bit big. I also have a Kumo size M, which surprisingly, fits me better than the G4-20 size M I would like to buy Mariposa 60, but honestly I don't know what size to choose and I don't even have a place to try them on.
@@razvanmarinescu9062 I hear that. It's really tough at times. They have a 30 day, unused return policy (not including return shipping) if a size doesn't work out for ya.
Really nice pack. Looks comfortable. I really like the pocket on the back for the frame/sit pad. I have one on one of my packs and it is great.
Thanks Dan! Really looking forward to using it. I agree, the back panel is a thoughtful and seemingly comfortable design 👍
Sweet pack! I have definitely looked into this pack as a possible replacement for my exos. Great and very thorough review.

Expecting mine today. Doing Mont Blanc circuit early summer. Hoping this is fit for purpose!
Thanks for watching! Have a great time! I really enjoy this pack 👍

Been hearing more and more about this pack. Great info man!
Really excited to try this pack out! Thanks for watching Taylor!

That zipper on the brain-ish thing would be perfect for a waterproof map or your daily snacks. Might have to scoop one of these. Thanks, Dave!

Interesting panel. Does it work to keeping the back cool?
Thanks for watching! The frame has a curvature to it and would aid in a little ventilation but this model is not as good as others I've seen.
Great pack I want it.
Thanks for watching! I'm digging it so far! Would recommend 👍
I like this pack in the new material and that you removed the frame. I have a Zpacks ArcHaul and I’m looking for something closer to 50 liters. 🦑
Also I’m a new subscriber

Hello
Also, I'm 178cm but my torso measures around 49-50cm.
What size did you choose?
