    My issue wasn't the exact same but this helped me to understand where the vacuum reservoir was. I then followed my line towards all the other terminals and found one of the plastic lines split inside of the wheel well. Fixed it in 10 minutes with spare vacuum hose I purchased to fix the other line when it broke.

    Thank you for making this video. I had the same problem on my 1998 ZX2 due to having a vacuum operated vent system. I wouldn't have thought to look for vacuum lines in the engine. I was looking for a problem inside the dash. Found out I had 2 lines deteriorating. Fortunately I had some vacuum line in my garage that worked. Replaced them, now my AC is blowing through the vents. *Helpful Hints By Jonny On The Spot!*
    My 99 Mazda B3000 104k mi. ,had very little air flow on AC only. I removed blower motor & with an air chuck wand, blew all the debris out & through my evap. core. Though I could not physically blow through the entire surface area face of the evap core, my air flow increased 2 fold. #2 fan speed now pushes as much air as #4 fan speed did prior. Don't use those spray can evap. Core foamy cleaners! They contain sodium based chemicals that slowly dissolve the aluminum fins & solder!

      There's quite a few terminals for the lines so its not an easy thing to answer. Some go all the way inside your vehicle behind the glove compartment to plug into the plunger that opens the inside vents. You need to find the other half of the cut line and patch it together. It will be located within reach of the cut line so look in the immediate areas for another dangling plastic line.

    So there’s no way to just dig into the dash and manually turn an actuator? It’s strictly vacuum??

    • @Chimonya

      It starts towards the coolant reservoir and runs on the side of the vehicle near the accumulator drier, under the blower motor and into the cab where it connects to plunger terminals that open the vents. You'll want to look around for another dangling line somewhere around the a/c accumulator drier or inside of the passenger front wheel well.

    I'm aware this comment is 5 years late. But would you happen to have a part number for a replacement hose?

    • @Chimonya
      @Chimonya Месяц назад

      Just get a set of vacuum hoses from 1/8" up and pick the one that grabs the plastic line tightly enough to seal. I don't think they make replacement lines for this and if they do it will cost a small fortune for what it is. It's also not for the faint of heart to replace the line given the number of Ts, Ls, and transitions. Recommend you just patch the sections that break with rubber vacuum line.

      @@kevinrosales1460 Go to a junk yard and pull it off an old vehicle. Otherwise get a vacuum line T for a 1/8" hose and get some vacuum line and patch it using that. You can generally fit the plastic line inside of the 1/8" vacuum line. If it doesn't seal well enough just add a little super glue on the outside.

    Nice effort, I guess, but not once did he show exactly in the engine compartment where he was working. And tilt your damn phone sideways when filming so that we can fill up the entire screen and see what you're doing. I still have no idea where he was working on this stuff. Shake my head x100

      I have yet to do the perfect video. I did realize after I "published" it that I did not show the "big picture" of where this was located. This video was an afterthought. I now use everything BUT an iphone...two gopro's for my videos. Thanks for watching and the comment. BTW, facing the hood, it's on the right side of the engine compartment. Taking it down would lose my place in the search line and hence all my views. Thanks for watching.
