PUCK FAIR: KERRY'S GOAT KING

- Puck Fair is an ancient event, so old that the origins are a mystery.
The fair is unique as the locals go into the McGillycuddy Reeks to select a wild goat to be crowned King. A queen is chosen in the village to crown the goat. Best of all the pubs stay open longer!
The origins of the fair may be linked to Lunasa and the Pan, Greek God of the Wild.
Since the fair has been cancelled due to covid, Balor has gone down to film at Killorglin, hoping to help keep Puck Fair in our hearts and memories for next year!

The last thing - didn’t know that was a thing until today, I’ve been on that bridge many times since I was quite young. I mean maybe the people who are rowing on the river will hear 😂
