The Port of Sóller (in Catalan Port de Sóller) is a natural port located in the Sierra de Tramontana and an important tourist population center located in the municipality of Sóller, on the island of Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands, in Spain. In 2007 it had 2724 inhabitants. It has a beach called Playa d'en Repic.
It is about 3 km from the town of Sóller. From there it can be accessed by road (Ma-11), from a tunnel (sa Mola tunnel) and by a tram line, which with a half-hour pass frequency, is one of the main tourist attractions of the location.
The Picada Tower is a watchtower from which you can see the entire bay. It was built in the 16th century to defend against pirates and privateers. The old oratory dedicated to Santa Catalina has been converted into the Museo del Mar.
El Puerto de Sóller (en catalán Port de Sóller) es un puerto natural situado en la Sierra de Tramontana y un importante núcleo de población turístico situado en el municipio de Sóller, en la isla de Mallorca, la mayor de las Baleares, en España. En 2007 contaba con 2724 habitantes. Posee una playa llamada playa d'en Repic.
Está a unos 3 km del pueblo de Sóller. Desde allí se puede acceder mediante carretera (Ma-11), a partir de un túnel (túnel de sa Mola) y por una línea de tranvía, que con una frecuencia de paso de media hora, es uno de los principales reclamos turísticos de la localidad.
La Torre Picada es una torre de vigilancia desde la cual se divisa toda la bahía. Fue construida en el siglo XVI para defenderse de piratas y corsarios. El antiguo oratorio dedicado a Santa Catalina ha sido reconvertido en el Museo del Mar.
