Does anyone know if it's possible to pass an image from my app to this library and have it detect documents? It does something similar with its gallery import but I want to be able to directly pass it an image, without launching the scanner.

Yes you can do this as well, you just have to convert the image to an InputImage before you can pass it to the library.
