First time I have ever bothered to watch a review of a backpack, because I am 82 and married to a briefcase for my laptop. But your excellent detailed presentation made me change my view because I now have to try and pack into a very basic briefcase all of the sundry items that you carry. As a very old Salesman bought up with presentation style sales techniques, which are usually poorly done on YT, accept my professional opinion that your excellent detailed presentation was up to the standard of an IBM sales pitch, from the time they held a 75% share of the Mainframe market. Phil.
Thank goodness for Ed and Rushfaster for still putting out rather consistent content during the pandemic. It's kept my sanity up while not being able to travel. Really miss getting to use my packs for different occasions!
@@RushfasterTV Update. the movement of the product had stop for 6 days already. I do not know if I will receive the package in good condition or will I ever receive it.🤔
Hey Rushfaster, thank you for another great walkthrough video. I just want to point out some thing I noticed in the spec sheet on the Rushfaster website. It's saying that the weight of the Tech Pack 2 is only 300g, while the Aer website is saying it's about 3.8lbs (1723.65g). This is a little misleading so you guys might want to update that. Thank you and I appreciate all your work :)
Awesome video! I'm currently considering the Tech Pack 2 and the City Pack for EDC and occasional travel. Which one do you think fits these criteria the most? Which one did you find to be more comfortable? I'm also surprised you were able to fit three packs of beer into a 14L City Pack, whereas the Tech Pack 2 didn't fit all 4 being a 17L one.
Great review. Thanks. As a side note. The Jordan Peterson book.... Ive read a few of these types of books over the year and don't buy too much into it being useful. It states pretty basic concepts that really should be instilled in our society by parents but we all know life doesn't work out like that. There are far more productive books out there, try out book reviews on it from actual book reviewers, not lifestyle blogs that pick up the book based on his clout.
Hi Noah! The Aer Tech Pack 2 is designed to primarily store your tech equipment. It should also be roomy enough to fit some of your important school items as well. Cheers!
Yeah this would be a decent bag for school. It has a lot of pockets for tech gear however so it might be slightly wasted on just carrying books (however it will carry a number of books just fine).
@@RushfasterTV I was just looking for a bag for school and something I can carry out on my own days kinda like an everything bag and I think this bag will be great for school and everyday carry thank u for the response 😁
Good question, depending how bulky you pack the wash pouch it should. Re: packing cube, would only fit the small one I think, medium would be a really tough squeeze. Hope that helps! - Ed
I personally prefer the Tech Pack 2, but that's because I tend to pack heaps of gear. It'll depend on how you pack. The Day Pack 2 is actually a really good allrounder that doesn't take too much bulk. Hope that helps - Ed
Ed, all things aside - for an EDC whats your pick .. Bellroy Backpack Plus or AER Tech Pack II ? Spent forever trying to decide ( before you reviewed AER), and ended up going with Bellroy. Now I see this video and im wondering if I made the right choice..
Both are great packs IMO! This is a tricky one. I think the Aer Tech Pack 2 is a great allrounder. But the Bellroy Classic Plus has some features that I reaaaaallly dig (laptop compartment+stretchy mesh, magnetic sternum strap) plus the overall aesthetic and hip colours. I'd go with the Aer Tech pack, just because I think I want more compartments and organisation. BUT I'd be missing out on some key things. Tough one. - Ed
Rushfaster , your hesitancy already makes me feel better in knowing someone else finds the choice difficult. I will persevere with Bellroy, and see how it goes. Thanks for your awesome videos, really informative! Watched them all.
Depending on the frame of the person using it, it could be a bit big for school. But at the same time, it offers lots of organisation and storage for things you would take to school. I wouldn't say it's specifically made for bike rides, but it works fine when it comes to water protection. Hope that helps - Ed
forgive if I have asked you this already, I've researched a lot :) this was not on my list until I saw this review; do you think this would be good for (I will repeat, I'm sure you get many people asking) a college student? Do you find it comfortable weighted down (in our case, books) and somewhat cool to the back? Would you feel it would be a large enough cavity for books? If yes, I am ordering and I will use your link. If not, do you have another suggestion?
All good my man! Happy to answer your queries. For college this is a decent bag. Hands down. It's got big space in that main cavity for books, the harness system is sufficient for a reasonably comfortable carry (I mean if you pack it with heaps and heaps of books, it's gonna get uncomfortable with any bag at some point). But I think for the college use case, gonna be a great bag, and once you move on from college - killer work bag. Just for general reference, how many books and what weight do you think they'll be roughly? Hope that helps! - Ed
@@RushfasterTV thank you Ed for your reply! I am inquiring for my son, he hates to shop. No idea how many books and I'm sure it will vary from year to year. I remember my first year I didn't even own a backpack, it was convenient enough to go to my room between classes then my last 2 years I had class back to back and carried what felt like a caravan of elephants all day hahha with just my (cool at the time) Jansport. It was heavy, it hurt but who knew any different :) I ordered this one so we will see. I have many on order coming this week (several Northface, Aer tech pack, Topos Mountain, Thule). I told him if none of these work there's always a Target sack haha. Hopefully they will. I would like to try the Alpha One Niner, Rainmaker, and Evergoods but they don't offer free shipping so...
Hmmm I definetely see that. For me, I look for bags that can accomodate my tech - so I'm kinda used to a bit of bulk. But the Day Pack 2 is a great op if you're worried about bulk. - Ed
SMH Jordan Peterson. Don't take life lessons from a guy who is on an all meat diet despite hating it and also got addicted to benzos and went to Russia for treatment.

This along with day pack 2 outshines Bellroy in terms of function and form. Thank God for Aer 😌
This was a really well done review, from the explanations all the way to demonstration of storing beer and even saying how tall you are. Subscribed!
Glad it was helpful! Much appreciated. Have a great one, Kenny. Cheers!
Your videos are awesome! Very detailed, very moody, very interesting! You’ve helped me so much. Keep it up!
Cheers Florian! Appreciate the support - take care.

You have break the beer apart and put them can by can in the front. :)
I wish there were Australian stockists for this bag.
Your review finalize my decision of buying aer tech pack 2 aside from 22% discount.

Honestly, I am in between Aer Tech and Bellroy Transit. Bellroy looks more fancy in my opinion, but on the other hand Aer looks like more functional.
Thanks, Görey! We greatly value your opinion. Have a great one!

Do you know if this is the same bag as Tangcorle(Amazon) or Tangcool (banggood)?
