- Toxicologist Dr Gerhard Verdoom says rat poisons available in South Africa can only bring out a response after a day or two. He says rat poisons and pesticides that mostly cost immediate response and death are illegally brought from other countries. This is amid speculation on the cause of death for five children who allegedly ate snacks bought from a spaza shop in Naledi, Soweto.
Tune into Newzroom Afrika DStv channel 405 for more.
ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS, WILL THIS SPAZA SHOP OWNER BE ARRESTED.
How will they find undocumented illegal foreigners whom doesn't have a business permit or not registered for tax, to track them....Pakistani and Ethiopian shops MUST ALL BE CLOSED DOWN.
No they won't be arrested, they are probably gone by now and chances are, they are illegal in the country, therefore there is no way to track them at least for our police.
They'll just move on to setup shop elsewhere.
No.
No
Nope
I love how she avoids him when he continuesly says that it's illegal foreigners who do not care, she can't stand that part. I've seen her in other interviews also😡
You have no respect for our beautiful Michelle. She can't say the things you want her to say and bring her and the channel into disrepute.
@@anticorrup-g5o so I'm correct, she's censored... 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
She hates whites as well. Very racist.
@@demonpunisher9337 for sure.
@@perthkraya3209being factual is also important. Our problem is that we are more worried with verifying foreigners instead of dealing with what the problem is which is the state has failled us dismally.
It's quite ironic that on the anniversary of those kids killed by food poisoning in naledi a year ago children all over SA are dying from from products bought in these same shops.
Useless ANC government doesn't care or they want us to accept these incidents as normal or natural
Keep activated charcoal in your home.

As long as there’s someone willing to rent them space to conduct business, they are not going anywhere.
I wish the community of Naledi ask Adv Ike Khumalo to help them open a case against whoever they have to open the against department of foreign affairs, police and everyone thats not doing they jobs seeing that South Africans are safe in they own country. We are under attack in this country.
Citizens of South Africa wake-up and stop supporting the foreign owned shops
Incompetence strikes again! Now kids are dead, and people are grieving.
How many children died since this started, is not the first time this happened and I think our government has failed us totally as South African.
Useless ANC government doesn't care or they want us to accept these incidents as normal or natural

@@matsikajaricha He is not actaully, there are 5 spaza shops in 1000m radius of where I stay..
4 of the spaza are run by Pakistanis
The 1 shop was taken over by the owner of property as the Pakistani went and built a bigger shop down the road, oh she is black..
3 of the properties are owned by black 1 is owned by coloured .
Now please explain to me how he is wrong about foreigners running the shops?!
I do know of 2 additonal spaza shops in Savana city that are run by the owners of the property.
The one gentlemen has just built dedicated shop on his property and his son is running the shop for him and he is renting out the house, the other gentleman wife runs the shop..
And they also had to go through the process of going to the council to get premission to run the shops, guess who that is..
the poison is coming from somewhere?
