In ‘85 I was 13 yrs old and didn’t understand what they were talking about on this show. Looking at it again now, I’m fully awake, aware and see how right the Minister was. He’s spent a lifetime defending Black people and it’s a shame we haven’t taken his words seriously and made significant change. Too much time is lost talking in circles. We need to talk less and do more.

He's not wrong nor is he alone in his perspective. Never has been. You really summed up what I was going to say in my comment. Why oh why have we not learned? We are all stuck in the same cycles. Not just Black American's, but also look at Africa. Africa was colonized, and still deals with neo colonialism. A number of African countries are trying to truly break free but still struggle while other African countries just struggle along stuck in the mindset of corruption and not taking care of their people's needs. As a race we have a serious problem on our hands, and I feel we lack the leadership and cohesion to overcome it. Lacking the leadership and cohesion, I think all these little conversations being had in many places all at once is starting to have an effect on us of how bad off we are, and how there is a need for change brewing underneath it all.
