  • Golf Professional and half of Me and My Golf's Piers Ward visits the Kingdom at TaylorMade HeadQuarters for an Iron, Utility, Fairway Wood fitting.
    We work through different iron shafts and deep dive on his preference towards the TaylorMade P7MB / P7MC Combination. We adjust the setting on his Stealth 2 Plus 5 wood to compliment his game and fill a major gap with multiple Utility iron options.
    No longer should you view your set as 14 clubs but consider each individual club for a particular purpose in a given environment.
    As always Piers offers fantastic insight from a coaching perspective with informative information from beginning to end to help with your own personal equipment choices.

    Shafts are so individual, I’ve tried the Proj X in many irons and dynamics and never got the best out of it, was a hardened Dynamic Gold fan until I stuck the Modus in a set of srixons and have been a fan of the shaft ever since.. and still have them in my mizuno T22 wedges purely for the feel.. great fitting again Trottie.. 💥💥👍👍

    I believe like Trottie. I have different clubs in woods and hybrids and change per the golf course and needs. I also have two putters, for when I play at clubs with very nice and fast greens, and one for public courses with slower greens. I have two drivers, one with two shafts, a regular flex and a stiff. I use the regular on more open courses I can bomb it but it’s more erratic, the stiff shaft is shorter in distance but is a fairway finder for tighter fairways.

    It really pisses me off that I don't have access to someone like Trottie to buy my new set. I just bought the new 790's and already have doubts about not doing some of the things seen here. I've experienced "fitting" for a couple of clubs now and it's not what it could be, on grass for instance.

    When you said lowest 5W to highest 5W, he put A LOT of focus on where his feet were situated. Why is that? I'm going to test that next time at the range. Lowest back in the stance, highest forward in the stance??

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  8 месяцев назад +1

      It moves the low point and the attack angle. Shifting the ball position around will adjust flight

    Hi guys! So assuming someone’s irons are too long for them, the impact location tends to be where? The shot direction tends to be where?
    Also, as far as static measuring, do you still do wrist to floor or knuckles to floor?
    What length would generally constitute going down a 1/4 inch? I know static is not as important as the actual delivery, but as a general guide.
    Thank you!!

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  Год назад

      Good questions and call all be situation and PLYR dependent.
      I still like wrist to floor measurements myself & I'd lean on them if a PLYR was new to the game or didn't have an opinion on feel or preference and I was struggling with the dynamic fit.
      So don't rule that out as a guideline.
      Heel strike generally indicates too long but you need to keep an eye on the swing too and how someone delivers the club.
      Swing Weight so important with long clubs, monitor that.
      Shot direction can be different but with a heavy swingweight and long clubs right can happen generally more than left BUT if the lie is too up then left comes in, so there's more to that.

    Hi .....new to the channel....I think your a master mind at fitting.....guick question my daughters swing coach believes she would be hitting a 9 degree driver.....but she only swings at 72mph swing speed at 15yrs old.....I have her in a 11 degree club.....just wondering about your thoughts.... thanks....and keep up the great videos

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  Год назад

      send me her ball launch number, spin rate & attack angle and I'll be better placed to answer, it's possible she needs 9* but unlikely.

    Trottie great vid. Interesting about club head speed / height comparison. If my average 7 iron club head speed is 93mph but my peak height is around 115-120, would that be concerning for you to see? Was fit into PX 6.5 shafts

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  Год назад +1

      It's on the high side but not concerning, I just fit a guy into those numbers but he's a high ball hitter, sometimes you gotta go with what you're given
