Seems nice little fishing port with an interesting D Day history...that sky looked a bit dramatic and black in places! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Andrew, hope you are still enjoying the caravan.
Just doing some research on Port'land and Port-en-Bessin as a base for a 10 day car and caravan stay next Summer, sometime during the school holidays.
Would you recommend Port-land as a good base from which to explore this part of Normandy please?

Yes we're really enjoying the caravan, the site is a perfect site to explore Normandy, we did go when French schools were going back so it was fairly quiet, here is the playlist of the places we visited from the site & where we stayed before going to France & before ferry home hope it helps 👍

@@andrew-karens-adventures That’s very kind of you, thanks Andrew!
By the way, we sold our motorhome after 9 months.
We found it too restrictive for days out, and was more tiring for me than towing because of the ride quality and engine noise.
I also became concerned that something we bought in 2021 with a diesel engine might not be a wise purchase 5-10 years down the line…
      Just a personal decision…

I hope we can return one day. I think we tried to do too much in too short a period of time while visiting Normandy.
