- This customer used to work with my dad. He had seen some of our septic videos pop up on his feed and thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and get his septic tank pumped out. Good thing he called us, because it was on the verge of backing up.

I have been searching for my septic tank for 3 years. I finally broke down and rented a camera snake with locator. Found it. Right in the middle of my gravel driveway. AGHHHHHH. Got it pumped. Now I need to reroute my drive. Love You videos

Man! You’re such an upbeat person! I love the energy! I’ve been on a septic system for 20+ years. My wife had it pumped 12 years ago. I used to work out of town. Now I’m retired and a DIYer as much as possible. I worked as much with our local company… as much as I physically could. I grew up on city sewage.. never really thought about the “ process” of it all. After be hands on involved, I’ve tried to educate myself. Your videos are fantastic!! You sir are so courteous and respectful! Especially when you’re working and people are chattering away!😂😂 You are a true gentleman with quality manners! That’s something you don’t find too much these days. Thank you for the educational videos and also being so upbeat and polite! I know your parents are proud!🙂”Smells Like Money”. I've got a question, if you have a customer that doesn't have risers, do you suggest it to the customer to have them installed or do you have it left as is

As always good job. In Denmark where I live, you've have too have risers and all the solids must be pumped out once a year.
I try and sell risers every time we have to dig. If they don’t want them we charge each time we dig

@@samkitty5894yes and no, its requieret by law. Many septic systems are back from the 1950 - 60 used in small summerhouses, they have limited capaticy..
@@jensrosenkvistkjeldsen3675 Pumping should be required based on the number of occupants not on time interval. A family of 4 will fill it faster than a older couple or a single person.

PTO powered vacuum pump..back in the old days, the truck engine vacuum would create a vacuum in the tank. Slow pumping.
For real though? I thought they used to have an aux gas engine with pump?

My first encounter with a pumper was 1986 when I worked at a youth camp. The truck was a 1960s GMC gasoline with a 500 gallon vac tank. Where he dumped was on a hill top, the burn pit. So coasting down, he got a good vacuum. Ball valve on the end of the wand, it was slow on a 3000 gallon secondary tank. Ended up installing a twin leg drain field as this was a logged drain field problem. Heavy clay over a thick gravel bed, the new field was 6 feet deep.
Installation of risers should be mandatory and required by code. This digging for lids is getting old.
Do you have a recommendation or thoughts on when a septic tank gets pumped out is there a chemical or something to put in the clean tank to get the bacteria and organism regrowth jump started again?
Can you pump a septic with a hose that is only 2inches in diameter? Just getting started in business
