Many thanks for the walk through. I've had Brewfather recommended by a number of people, but without a manual it's a bit of steep learning curve. Your video has made the slope far gentler!
Thanks for this Steven. I purchased a Robobrew after searching RUclips, yours was the first vid I watched, also purchased the RO unit you reviewed. You are costing me a fortune🤣 My question is, do you use brewfather to calculate your water additions. I posted details of a recipe I made up on Brewfather( not meaning to make ) on brew tube official and asked if the water additions were in the right area, some said not and that the calculations it uses are not up to date with newer styles of beer. I am assembling my RO unit this week and plan to brew Harrybrews Vacant Gesture, A blonde pale hoppy beer. Brewfather says as best as I can tell to add for 19litres, 5g Gypsum, 4.9g Calcium Chloride and 3.8g of Epsom Salts. Is this in the right area or way out. Hope you don't mind me asking, just wondered if in your experience if these amounts are ok ish or way out and can brewfather be trusted. Cheers.. Pete.
Than. You for the video. Question, when you add an ingredient that you have in stock, does Brewfather automatically adjust the amount you have in stock? Or do you manually have to change the amount?
With each batch you make, the app will remove the amount in the recipe from stock. You have to tick a box to confirm you have used each item but it's a simple process.
Really useful video Stephen,is it possible to incorporate the Tilt to brewfather with the free app or does it have to be the paid version.?Also is it possible to incorporate it into the inkbird wifi? Ie. For instance if I were away on holiday could I check the gravity via the Tilt and then cold crash via the inkbird? Sorry for so many questions. Ha ha. Cheers mate. 👍🍺
Yes you can use the tilt and brewfather free version in combination. The free version only lets you save 10 recipes or something like that but everything works as far as I remember. Also yes the beauty is that you can check the gravity and change the temp accordingly on the inkbird WiFi. I have an issue where the inkbird only works on 2.5mhz WiFi when mine uses 5mhz to get outside. Still not resolved it yet.
Oops, sorry. I watched this a while ago, just watched again and you do show this. I had forgotten it was covered. So, Just left to ask if you find the results are ok and can be trusted... Sorry again..
Did you get sorted? Yes the results are good on BF. It can go a bit funny at time with inventory but generally it's fairly accurate. In the library section you can search for vacant gesture and see what other people have done which is handy as you can scale their recipe to match your system.
I was watching avidly and taking it all in (apart from the point where I wandered off a little mentally and typed in a google search for brewfather 😉 ) until the point about the gay porn. How I laughed as I realised that it was all a spoof after all and I just had to carry on using the recipes from the books that I have and tweaking them a little from educated guesswork till I get to the final product after around seven or eight brews 😉 🤣 . Given my rather fuddy duddy approach to beer: Goldings; if it's not broke don't fix it 😉 🤣, and the fact that I don't get to do all grain beers that often, I think that the freebie version may well be more than adequate for me. Cheers, Schnuz.

Its worth creating a few recipes yourself to see how it all works but I found the process to be fairly simple. Good luck!
Thanks, just decided to use Brewfather and this was a very helpful walk through
Cheers Steve, I'm sure you'll enjoy using the app.
Cheers Banana. I've been really enjoying brewfather. I love that it's cloud based and follows me from device to device!!
Yes that's another great reason to use it. I switch between phone and laptop on brewday and it generally works a treat.
Nice overview mate, thank goodness for all of those requests! Top tip "Put the Tilt into the beer first" 😂Cheers bud!
I feel bad now because I should have said 'wort' 🤣
Nice overview. Very thorough. Cheers!

Cheers, I will take a look at the recipes. But to clarify, you have been happy with the water addition calculations it gives you. Thanks again...
Nice mate, cheers!!!
Cheers for the mention mate. If anyone wants a robobrew v3 profile let me know
