I just literally dropped my note 20 into a bucket of water by accident and was shocked to find out it's water proof. Came here just to make sure I wasn't tripping.
I bought this phone with hard-earned cash and I've been treating it like a king so there's absolutely no way I'm trying any of this out no matter how water resistant it is. Just seeing this video (mine is the same color) is enough to make me hold it tighter.
@ Dickson Justice - No it's not the best phone ever made. It was the Note 4, 5, 8 and 9 all are flagship phones. As long as they were purchased in USA with Snapdragon processor. The ones made in Asia using exynos processor is causing the Note 9 screen to turn green, and consumers don't think it can be fixed. I turned down a free Note 10 to hold on to my Note 9, because I know the Note 10 is faulty defective downgraded merchandise. I would not own one for anything. No headphone Jack over expensive earplugs that doesn't last, including the Note 20 Ultra. You won't get good feedback using earplugs/bluetooth! Samsung has made a mess lately!
Still a fan of s8 and it's waterproof for me. I been 6ft in swimming pools recording videos and phone was still good! The vr headset capability on that phone and regular 🎧 jack is the truth.

There is a point because you pay for this IP687 certification. Oneplus doesnt make this certification for keeping price low for example, but they guarantee their water resistance anyway.

Fell in the river and mine seems to be alright. I had a warning saying moisture in the charging port don't charge. I put it in front of a fan and I went away and I'm able to charge my phone so I don't think anything is damaged
Glad that he has accidental phone insurance in case things go wrong. However, the Note 20 Ultra is the best phone I have ever owned and was never a crazy mobile upgrades until now.
My note 20 ultra got damaged by water. First the touch was not working but it worked with spen. I switched it off and let it dry inside rice. Then touch worked but esim was not detected and screen showed green flash when screen toggled between on and of, and there were water droplets visible on cameras. So i let it dry further. Later screen didnt work. Then I noted slightly opened back panel and it opened easily like a door. i think the faulty backpanel let water inside and ruined it... will Samsung take responsiblity for this?

I was holding my son in the ocean when a sneaky big wave hit me from behind my phone is still fine, it was about 4-6hrs before I could charge it again as it gave me a warning there is either sand or water in the port
I like that IPX8 is only tested for like submersion in 1.5 meters offresh water for 30 minutes but the phone happily dealt with hundreds of pounds of water falling on to it in that river test.

I tested s22 ultra and iphone 13 pro max and note 20 ultra. This one won in every category. The iphone battery charge stays the longest, but do you really want to carry a brick heavy device with terrible face camera that does nothing?
