I miss the midway era of mortal Kombat. The lore was so interesting. Now MK is all over the place.

In my opinion, it would be more fun to fight Onaga than fighting Raiden because Onaga is the emperor/ Dragon King. This is just my opinion.

I do not think that is actually Raiden. That is most likely a fake made by Shinnok...
The Fujin you fight before going in the Red Dragon Stronghold is also most likely a fake made by Shinnok...
Shinnok knew the outcome, therefore he LURED everyone (except himself, he made an impostor) to fight in the Battle of Armageddon. He knew Shao Kahn would win and defeat Raiden. He plays a major role in Armageddon, as he is the one who tricked Daegon into believing Argus and Delia decided to assist Taven. He also sends Taven back to Earthrealm because he knew Quan Chi had wounded Orin, and forced him to create a portal to Shao Kahn's fortress. Exactly what Shinnok is planning, I know not, but all I can say for certain is that it will NOT be pretty.
