    Hi , This Paging Cycle ( Paging Buffered in eNB) parameter is at eNodeB end OR MME end?

    • @KuldeepKumarSaxena-x8m
      @KuldeepKumarSaxena-x8m Год назад

      Please reply my query.......

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  Год назад

      If you are referring to the amount of time, the paging message is buffered in the eNB, then that is usually based on the paging cycle in the eNB. However, MME can over-write this as well but generally, the eNB value is used.

    thank you for your information I have one question what does mean ERAP failures due to no radio resources ? also if you can tell types of these radio resources

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  2 года назад

      Failure due to radio resources means that one of the radio resources required to admit a new UE are not available. For instance if PUCCH resources are fully occupied by existing UEs then a new UE can get this failure based on implementation on the eNB side.

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  3 года назад +2

      Yeah this is possible in some vendors with RAN parameter changes on eNB. However, it is not done as that increases access latency.

    Once the eNB sends RRC CONNECTION RELEASE to the UE, doesn't it cause UE to get into RRC_INACTIVE? Then, should it once again get into RRC_CONNECTED mode to send RRC CONNECTION RECONFIGURATION COMPLETE?

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  Год назад

      Yes, RRC Release will always result in UE going to inactive state and will need a new RRC Connection Req/Setup.

  • @moorthyselva
    @moorthyselva 3 года назад +1

    Can’t be more simpler.. Good One Ali. Thanks for the video . During all this failures how do we know that UE has not received the info from eNB or eNB has not received the message from UE

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  2 года назад +1

      From RAN KPIs, there are estimations possible but we cannot be definitely sure - which is why it comes down to analysis by process of elimination or some times it requires traces/CHRs for verification.

      The call flows are specified by 3GPP.

      @sam-1196 Год назад

      @Our Technology Planet yeah it is specified by 3gpp but I think it would be more clear if you could mention why we have to go through all this in order to set up call.

    Have a small question on the ERAB Failed Establishment due to "MME" , when its caused by Radio quality is it due to both UL / DL or only UL ? Thanks again!

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  3 года назад +2

      Usually DL failures are recorded by eNB so eNB will know that the UE has experienced an RLF and thus, it will release the context itself. But in UL, the eNB might not be aware that the UE has experienced RLF and thus, the MME tells the eNB about the RLF via context release.
      So in short, failures due to MME are related to uplink issues or issues that the eNB might not be able to monitor.

    Hi Ali , While explaining the cause issue over No response from Ue , your suggestions is to disable the adaptive scheduling ? May i know which features are you talking about in Ericsson system ?

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  3 года назад +2

      Usually we do not talk about vendor specific details and we strive to keep the content vendor agnostic. So, I can only give you a hint that various vendors have features that can vary SR periodicity based on load or QoS characteristics. The ones that can create a change during ERAB setup might be the ones causing this problem.

    • @japantaiwanlndiaaaradhyavo8613
      @japantaiwanlndiaaaradhyavo8613 3 года назад +1

      @@OurTechPlanet Ali.. Thanks. Understood your concern , Audiance already demand you to plan vedio over adaptive scheduling indicators . Appreciate if you do so. Well regarding Variable SR and CQI periodicity features is already turn off but still many erab failures occurred because of no responce from UE as a RRC reconfiguration complete , I think to extend trrc reconfiguration at enb will help to get rid from this problem ? What u think

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  3 года назад +1

      @@japantaiwanlndiaaaradhyavo8613 If you have found out that the issue is related to No Response then it can be typical coverage issue as well. You can try extending the RRC Reconfiguration timer as well but usually I have seen little gain from it - unless it is set to a very low value.

    If a Ue (in idle mode) performs TA update and then returns to idle mode, it is not necessary to establish default EPS bearer. Correct ? Thank you

    • @OurTechPlanet

    Where are SRBs and DRBs??

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  Год назад

      DRBs are setup during the ERAB Setup. The RRC Reconfiguration carrying the QoS details of the bearer sets up the DRB for the UE. Similarly, the SRBs are part of the RRC such that the SRB0 is setup during RRC Setup and then SRB1 during RRC Reconfiguration while SRB2 during NAS.

    Can you summarize negative impacts of reducing SR periodicity

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  3 года назад

      Lower SR interval can reduce latency but it might also impact PUCCH capacity. Although pre-allocations usually reduce SR based allocations significantly.

    • @coolmunzir
      @coolmunzir 3 года назад +1

      @@OurTechPlanet just to make the customer understand, impact on PUCCH Capacity meaning per SR requesting instance (after reducing periodicity) more UEs will send SR now (here assuming that Pre-Allocations feature is disabled) and it can also increase noise floor as well
