Fully expect to give it a go next year, at 75yr old. Got to 172klm this yr before the tap on the shoulder from the Motorcycle marshall. Next stop is the Bus. Bugger. Just over the top of Bingo. Was at 8 hrs but Lanterne rouge pulled out of Omeo as I arrived. But no chase in me by then in that heat. Your training program works, I just need to be able to descend faster without fear. Big call out to Bec and the guys for geeing me along, next year for sure. Increase my FTP over winter currently 168 just need that bit extra. Endurance I have power at my age is not as it was.
Already signed up for next years edition. Last time I did it was during covid times when Lee did his motivational speech via video streaming. Can't wait to tackle this mammoth ride again. Look forward to part 2 of you VLOG and see how you did in the sweltering conditions.
The event is on a Sunday. Most people would arrive Friday or Saturday morning. It is a great event. If you have the legs to get around it is always a memorable adventure!

Great video…Bec was a legend at 3 Peaks this year. So encouraging for us slow ones. Liked how you showed what is required on Sat.

Looks like a well organised event. Something i wish i could do. What time/day do most people arrive?
