This tornado formed 8 miles north of Laramie, WY on June 6, 2018 and is shown here crossing U.S. Route 30, the historic Lincoln Highway. It rapidly intensified, tearing up grass and dirt as it traveled over mainly open fields. The tornado followed the contour of the land up and over the Laramie mountain range for over 45 minutes before dissipating. It was rated an EF-3 by the National Weather Service.

The fact that you can park just outside this little cell and experience such peace and quiet while simultaneously looking at complete chaos at the foot of that tornado as it moves. Incredible feat of nature.

The eerie green hue that the clouds have before and during a tornado haunts me. I've only been in a few but that's a feature I've noticed every time. Puts a knot in my stomach.
Holy hell why is it green??
I agree!! When I lived in KS many years ago I had been through a few myself. That color always makes me feel uneasy. Worst one was 2000 or 2001, was driving to get back home and sirens started; looked up and there is that greenish and purplish color. I was 3miles away if not closer when I saw the tornado. Still clear as day in my mind. Never want to be that close again.
ditto here...in Metro Detroit. Haven't had one for many years, a Gustnado most recently that twisted tree tops and fucked up cars, but the real deal that happened: the sky was a sick green on the way. Scary as hell.
Where can I see that eerie green hue?
Because the clouds are intense that's the reason they look green.

It’s not a illusion it’s really that close
And is that a dirt tornado
@@Godofpillows no. Thats a actual tornado not a dust devil haha. It just happens that 99% of what its picking up is farmland dirt.
Outstanding video. Live in Scotland so really I've never seen a tornado and with this video you really have an awe-inspiring outlook for the natural ferocity of our world.
Yes but you guys have a big monster that lives in lake, gotta be more scary than this?
@@mickeybowmeister1944 ahahah right?!
@@mickeybowmeister1944 its a prehistoric animal
This reminder of the power of nature is so necessary. It makes us rethink how we prepare for emergencies
Gotta love Wyoming, that massive Tornado caused like $17.50 worth of damage lol
Lol
Well now what about that one thing that it destroyed? Did you hear about that? It was every bit of 30 to 40. Not specifically anything just numbers. It destroyed numbers. It took the number 3 and the number 4 and it took them from us!!! It was the dragon!!! It made 0 watch!!! We gotta alert the guards!!!
Hahahaha
It's beautiful. Like a ballet dancer, just twirling.
Amazing to me to see people driving past this thing. I can't even imagine it!! So intense!

That was the most perfect tornado and storm I’ve ever seen. They are cool to watch out in the flat lands of Wyoming and Nebraska!
A little windy in those states 🙂
Definitely one of the best tornado videos I’ve ever seen! Thanks!
I remember this as clear as day. On vacation with my family, and we decided to take a dirt road to a cool spot to take some pictures. We were in a minivan, and then all of a sudden this huge storm is almost on top of us. Surrounded by it, it starts hailing, we see a funnel cloud rotating very fast to our right, about 1/4 mile away. We are going 40mph in a minivan on a dirt road in a thunderstorm, very scary experience, but luckily we got out in time.
you vacationed in southeast wyoming??? unless it was during frontier days, i could see that lol
@@collinpugh9219 we were going to Yellowstone 😁
Pun intended in the beginning? 🤭🤭🤭
@@susanasoto9296 very cool storm found very warm storm and kicked up a whole tornado of issues 😂
Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Regardless of all devastation and suffering it may cause, that thing looked very beautifull.
I think if it did that they would've mentioned it in the description.
Meh it was fields so it didn’t do much damage
Wow you call that beautiful. You must not have lived through one. You wouldn't think it's beautiful then..
@@janetbenning2645 Ah yes because we don't get to have an opinion unless we are traumatized by the thing we have an opinion on
@@janetbenning2645 a few people said they’ve lived through more than one, and commented that this was a beauty.
What a specimen!
I mean really.. you see a lot, especially here on YT.
This one just beautiful - so well formed. One comment said "peaceful" and it is!
Amazing how something this beautiful can be, at the same time, so menacing...
I’m mesmerized by the colour change as it fills with dirt n debris
how to survive a tornado
tip no 1: start recording it
😂😂😂🤣🤣
🤣
Tip no 2: get closer to it,
I keep wondering, how the cameraman could always survive in any situations

that was absolutely incredible footage. Such a clear day. That was a perfect shot of it. wow!
The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.
He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.
Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.
The portion of Jacob is not like them: for He is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of His inheritance:
The LORD of hosts is His name.
