Pete, Tudor still seems pretty Tudor to me. While not not for me in anyway I do get that they have a unique aesthetic. I’ll spare you a list of my own since I now think individual watch model first, brand second. Brand is still hugely important to me - I enjoy owning watches from brands I love. It’s simply even more important to me that they have that one model that I own or want to own.
I actually felt like everything Tudor released this year kind of came and went without much fanfare. I personally think the BB58 GMT was a year too late. That didn't seem to take the watch world by storm the way I thought it would. Maybe it was the colorway and the "fauxtina". Heard mixed reactions to the new FXD GMT as well. It's not shocking you like that one hahaha
I’m glad you put Hermes on this list. Like most people, I’ve been dismissing them as a fashion brand but they’re getting a lot of love recently. They’ve gone full in and are making some great watches.
Hermes, to me, really deserved to be on the list. Tudor, I am just not a fan of anything they offer, so better not comment on them 😅 but who really surprised me is Omega. I like their design, so happy to see them on your list but still find their inclusion surprising.
Great 3 picks, the Omega bronze gold 859k Olympic edition really caught my eye, along with the new black no date seamaster, and the Fois. Its funny but true what you said about Tudor, just not my cup of tea especially as Rolex is now becoming very available in the UK.
Love Tudor but only own 1 that I literally tried to give away last week and was declined (Tudor Prince Date, IBM 25 year anniversary gift). If you can’t give one away the brand is struggling.
Now we need the three brands that did not do well. Happy New Year, Pete

Great picks for the 3
Can’t really argue
Hermes definitely needed to be on the list - the last 24 months (as a minimum) they have been killing it

Interesting perspective Pete. I do wish Tudor would do more than BB derivatives and Pelagos lines, both of which are dive watch centric.

I don’t think I’ve heard Hermes uttered in terms of watches. Ever!
They make some great watches.

Omega crushed it this year

Can I have it? Lol
