Huge fan of Michael Strahan. Seeing a glimpse into his collection makes me a bigger fan. Some of these comments? Most of you are either jealous or haters. Sure, he's not a scholar in horology. Who says you need to be to enjoy collecting amazing watches.

Don’t need to be a scholar to know the difference between a nautilus and an aquanaut and a RO and an offshore. Wouldn’t be commenting but he comes off as knowing what he’s talking when he probably has a friend that tells him what is cool to buy.

It's called the "John Mayer Rolex" because Mayer talked about it being a sleeper hit on Hodinkee's Talking Watches and it sparked a huge interest in the watch and the demand went crazy. Mayer is *that* influential in the watch world.

Maybe you could refer to the face as the entire front of the watch but he’s trying to say the dial is blue. You don’t say “it has a blue face”. It’s like saying your face is red when just your nose is red

What’s worse than someone who is clueless is some who is clueless that thinks he is not. Gerald gents did not design the aquanaut or RO offshore in fact it is widely rumored he hated what they did with the offshore in bastardizing his original design.
