Guatemala jade is one my my personal favorite stones. Have a couple of JadeMaya's pieces along with a high quality "Olmec" blue beaded bracelet form another seller.

question= does WA.ST have both Jadeite and Nephrite Jade? I LOOKED INTO IT BTW AND DISCOVERED THAT IT IS KNOWN THAT WA.ST DOES HAVE BOTH. Reason I am thinking that it is, is that my understanding of in my thinking of the geological location as well as the numerous MTN Ranges, why would it not I said to myself- WA. ST is just so unique. Also due to numerous volcanic eruptions over the years-millenniums' and that the volcanic flows would cover up so much of ___??? and just how much over burden does one have to dig??? So, what would be pushed up over the years- Serpentine/Genice, Jades of both types maybe due to the SUPER-DUPER-HEAT CREATED. JUST MY MIND AND WALLA IT'S BEEN NOTED.

This is quite amazing timing that I would see this video today, because I just recently finished reading Stone of Kings. Not only that, but I think i know the winner of the competition, Pedro Molina. Otherwise known from Chiapas, as POMO? Yes, I was at his home and studio for a barbecue in the 1990s when I traveled a lot in Chiapas. Pedro is a great stone carver. Extremely talented in any material.
