The tension they build in her not being able to hear if she's making noise while she's trying to escape, is really well done. I agree this would have been considered a classic. They really thought through all of the realistic options in the confined setting.
Glad this got a physical media release instead of disappearing. And glad they were able to do their re-edit with the different audio & color.

As soon as Flanagan's deal with Netflix came to an end he said, "Bye; I'm taking my movie with me, HA! HA! HA!"

The "Shush" version is very cool, def worth checking out, esp if you've already seen the regular version!
Also, am I the only one who thinks he looks like Ryan Gosling in Drive when they both have a mask on???

Deaf-mute horror author Maddie Young lost her abilities to hear and speak after contracting bacterial meningitis at age 13, causing hearing loss and temporary vocal cord paresis which became permanent after an unsuccessful surgery.

Not to change the subject, but VS sold out of the keep.. 12k editions in less than 48 hours is crazy.

The 2 best actual films that Shout put out this year are Affliction and Bones and All, which both got bare bones releases. Iffy transfers abound, the Amityville remake is truly horrible. All that being said this is a well conceived and great looking release. So Scream Factory can still come through if they care to try.
