Skiing The Cross - My Childhood Couloir

  • I traveled down to Ouray, Colorado to visit my mom and went up to ski one of the first couloirs that I skied in high school. It was one of the first climbs where I needed to use crampons and was the beginning of my love for ski mountaineering. I like to go back every summer to ski it, as it holds snow the longest of all the couloirs up there.

That was insane!! You made going down this 50 deg steep hard packed couloir look effortless when it is SO DARN hard to do! Amazing! 😯

Whoa, this is insane. Driving through the stream on the way up, crossing that sketchy snow bridge and then skiing over it later, skiing that rock section at the top at 50+ degrees, the drone shots. Legendary video!

Thanks, 50/50 the bridge was going to collapse, but figured i would be on the other side even if it did.

Suppose that snowbridge had failed on the way up or the way down. I don't think you even entertained an alternate plan for the ascend or The Descent.
