Without knowing if his hand had any other methods to ditch two darks into the gy, dropping two thunder dragons would not have allowed him to summon BLS and C.Sorc. The breaker and the second dark (I think I heard skilled dark magician) being discarded are required.
I think the only thing missing from the ultimate torture was Nobleman of Crossout. Everything else is a best scenario. Maybe Spirit Reaper normal summon.
The difference between this and modern yu-gi-oh is, the odds of opening such a hand as shown by the second player is highly unlikely, whereas a modern meta deck will do a much longer and more ridiculous combo with an accuracy meticulously designed to be relied upon game after game.
People will tell you goat format is way more skilled then open 2-3 Trinity with MoF while you open no way to prevent their MoF from recurring Trinity again

@@UTgohan Ahh you're talking as if there isn't skill in having to time interruptions to prevent your opponent from comboing off or playing through interruptions all the while preparing for others in hand and you're also talking as if having to reroute your combo after getting hit with interruption to end on something isn't skillful You're also talking as if those multiple negate board are meta too when they're not and most of them lose to 1 singular card every time. You're also talking as if as if there isn't the fact that top players consistently get tops which shows there is actually a level of skill in the game. They have you modern yugioh players to complain then they ban the cards and a whole new archetype comes out that is just as broke if not better and the modern yugioh player base complains and wants another banlist right away. At least when upper deck made the banlist before they fucked themselves over the banlist was about balance. Konami banlist is about profit. Yeah, no, if you want slower and more chill Yu-Gi-Oh!, play Edison, you will still have to deal with incredibly annoying stuff, but you are at least more likely to be able to play a little with some random decent deck than against a GOAT deck.
Can be played casually if you choose but a bunch of us have seen success and enjoyment in a goat format tournament setting for years at this point. Can be fun from both perspectives in my opinion.
Don't listen to shaggy he's in a good mood after his recent win streak. There's nothing more tilt inducing that competitive goat format. It's like boxing. The most important thing is to endure the blows.

You don't know true pain until the opponent opens Trunade Last Will Rescue Cat Premature Burial.
Also very fun is the opponent sets 1 monster, you use Pot of Greed, set MoF and pass and then the opponent activates Last Will and flips Cyber Jar.
I thought you were going to banish the facedown with BLS, summon reaper, rip the last card from his hand, and then use drop off in his draw phase 🤣
