    You’re asking yourself why your garden is blooming rapidly? it’s because of all the love that you give into the earth, the soil and the time is just the beginning. You have an amazing talent and are truly blessed. 🇨🇦love your channel

      Okay so you don’t eat beef and pork so I guess you’re a poultry and seafood fella. Loving the black beans. I love refried black beans and black bean dip. My banana peppers are growing like crazy as well. Isn’t it exciting when you get volunteer fruit and vegetables. I never give up on my plants. As long as they are willing, I find a way to pamper them into giving me more fruit. Garden looks good. Keep trusting your knowledge and instincts.

      @@growingoutthebox Okay disciplined eater. The muscles are obvious. Do you mostly grill, bake, and air fry? And what do you do to your mostly beans for protein? Now for the gardening question. Is there a particular kind of salvage yard you get your dryer drums from because I have looked everywhere? The salvage yards I checked didn’t have any and our local landfill has been over run by wild boar so I won’t be going there. Remember, we’re in a rural area about 90 minutes and 90 miles west of New Orleans. I love the height of the drums. The color in your garden is an amazing touch to an already incredible masterpiece of nature. And what do you do for drainage holes in the dryer drums. What tool can penetrate that metal? Anyway, 🙏🏾 that your garden continues to give you great pleasure and produce. Continue your stewardship over your land blessing and continue eating to take care of your temple- -your spiritual house blessing.

    Inspirational ❤ At 45, I was finally able to purchase my first home. I always wanted a place where I could grow my own food. 3 months in, I have built a greenhouse and planted 3 of the 5 trees I now have. I have more pepper plants than anything, but several others. Your videos give me knowledge, as well as ideas for what I want to add to my 'arsenal' of gardening😁 Those black cherry tomatoes look really nice. My goal is to have a multitude of dark colors in my garden/yard💃🏾💃🏾

    Happy 2 days late Mark, but in my defense, a couple of videos regarding cross
    pollination and seed saving interrupted my train of thought. All caused by a very
    strange event with our potatoes. Long Story.
    Anyway, of the plants/veg that you grow from seed, how many are Heirloom/Heritage,
    plants the seed can be saved from, reliably? And is that in the matrix so to be
    Self Sufficient?
    Anyway, my moment or two of Zen, walking around in Your Garden, is satisfied again,
    until next time.
    TY, My Friend

      I would say 90% of everything I grow are heirloom and why I don't grow lots of verities of the same type plants. I purchased hybrid Goliath seeds a few years ago and been growing the last 2 generation from those seeds and I love the characters of the plants so I will continue to grow it. Not big tomatoes but the insects haven't really attacked them. The Leaf footed bug love my Queen of the night heirlooms. I don't know if I will be able to get any seeds because they release a toxin into the tomato so I won't even eat them much less than collecting seeds but it is a beautiful tomato.

    I grew flat beans that I absolutely love, they’re very meaty and anxiously await every year for these. I never had a problem growing these but this year the leaves started turning yellow with red dots and it quickly spread, eventually all the leaves dropped from all the plants. I am not sure what fungal disease it was, maybe rust? We had a lot more rain than usual earlier on, I was so heartbroken. Any insight would assist so it doesn’t happen again next year. I am in Toronto, zone 6. Love your garden. I use your whey solution in my cucumbers…no powdery mildew…🤗 thank you for all your wonderful information. God bless!✝️🙏🏼❤️

    You said you grow green beans until the frost takes them out the "turn them in" and use as a cover crop. What does "turn them in" mean?

    • @growingoutthebox
      @growingoutthebox  2 месяца назад +1

      Mix them into the soil. It is considered green manure. Also creates air pockets which helps with drainage.

      Not without pesticides which I don’t use. Trap crop. Vine borers love Hubbard squash. Set it as far away as possible. Or enclosures. I’m building an enclosure for squash.

    Your garden looks great! What can you tell me about your fencing? You mentioned the deer got in. I'll need some fencing because they've visited my garden regularly and caused white a bit of loss. I'm hoping not to spend too much if possible. It looks like you used tall t-posts and wire. Is it electrified? How tall is it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    • @growingoutthebox
      @growingoutthebox  2 месяца назад +1

      Hey Jodi and thanks for your questions. Yes, the deer got in but it was totally my fault because I didn't turn the fence on that night and a single small deer slipped under and tasted a few things. Go to my website and scroll down the landing page and you will see the solar energized fence. Best investment because I was about to be committed. lol.... Very easy to install. T-post with a 2x4. The deer don't even try to jump it because I also have sonic sensors to send a warning. growingoutthebox.com
