Not all apps use the recenter feature and allow viewing while laying down. Neither Netflix or the Beta Bigscreen work in this way. You have to be oriented upright to view the screen!
Cool, but please use a simple bike helmet style adjustable headstrap in future, so it doesn't pull to your face. Velcro that pulls the headset against your face is very uncomfortable for any length of time. I've tried a few headsets that use this and it's so nice not having this pressure on your face.
I want social games like VR chat and make everything multiplayer and social that is the only way to become number one just look at VR chat everyone started playing that hardcore and went out to get expensive VR headsets for just that GAME

Gameplay and Talk the gameplay is ok, not the best but definitely worth the price. It has pretty high resolution compared to the oculus. Meaning there is a lot of potential with games that are being made. I would say the only thing limiting oculus is the 1 controller and the minimized refresh rate which higher refresh rate means the more immersive it gets

I saw You Tube 360 video's that people make and the camera used are bad resolution. Watching them makes me dizzy and sick. They don't keep the camera steady and smooth movement. Getting my own camera meanwhile while people get better on producing what VR they put out there.
Is it worth getting over a Daydream 2? I know it is self-contained but the Daydream uses a phone that lasts longer in VR mode, has USB-C, has Bluetooth audio out, and more storage, hmm idk. I would only hope that daydream interface can catch up to the Oculus software which is dominating at this point.

I've had many devices where the micro-usb female connector "loosens" and doesn't maintain a good connection with the male connection on cords; this problem effectively ruins the device. This issues makes me wary of buying any expensive device that relies upon micro-usb. Usb-c seems to maintain connections much better and is already clearly the future of connectors. in the next iteration, I hope Oculus swaps the micro-usb for usb-c. Also, I'd love to see a future version with 6DOF and better controller tracking (maybe an option to use the Oculus Touch controllers).

You and the media lied about a smartphone not being required. That is so stupid! You need to put a disclaimer on all purchasing outlets that an iOS or Android device is required for setup or just make it so you don't need an iOS or Android device to solve Oculus Go's big problem. I am disappointed in Oculus now.
Yeah, you need a phone to run the setup. But not to use it after that point. I wasn't happy when I discovered this about three hours ago as my phone isn't supported by Oculus but I've managed to get it installed anyways.
Drew Patterson most likely your not gonna wear the thing for 2 hours. For some other headsets, it’s not recommended to wear it for more than 30 min. even though Oculus wants us to watch movie on that.

It's standalone, you don't need a Smartphone.
You need a smartphone for setup and installing apps.
Borrow someone's for setup, then you never need one.
Only for set up. You can download games for it from inside VR. It’s just for convenience you can use the phone app too.
