It's good to find an uptempo song that harks back to an earlier generation containing an inbuilt a sense of fun. I play by ear and just hear, in my head, appropriate harmonies, which identify the chords. I will admit that some songs, composed on a piano, are harder to work out because piano players have more fingers at their disposal, and therefore more access to additional notes they could strike, creating a very wider range of chords than available to an amateur guitar player.
