Yes it is. The acceleration of Rock'n Roller Coaster isn't that powerful... However, Desert Race is not the "fastest accelerating rollercoaster in the world". It's slower than Dodonpa, Kingda Ka, Top Thrill Dragster, Formula Rossa, Stealth, Furius Baco, Xcelerator, Full Throttle, and I probably forget some other accelerators.
