The rough idling on the M120 is often caused by bad lambda sensors. The car has 2 of them. Usually replacing those will solve the problem. Other possible reasons are bad spark plugs or leaks in the vacuum lines in the engine bay. Especially around the area where the throttle body is located. Maybe this helps a little bit ✌🏼
Dont forget about the wireing harness..

Effspot please i work on w140 years, check the seal on the cover for the ecu’s asap, if the oil went on that and started leaking (wich i have had many times before but just because of cracked rubber seals not with oil) you can short it out, trust me ecu’s for w140 v12 are not cheap in usa and need to be programmed, location next to cabin filter under the hood passenger side, you mentioned it in the video i saw oil there. Hopefully nothing happened there, also check fuse box on driver side wich also has a rubber seal

That was my first thought too. I just couldn't believe that someone would feel entitled enough to pour a bottle of it over someone's car, but sure enough. And in a nicely lit parking garage too, this guy obviously isn't a rocket scientist.
To me looks more like it would be brake fluid, just because brake fluid will eat a cars paint if left on there for long. Doesn't make sense to pour transmission fluid on a car but he did say it was red, weird.

Does it have a lock on the gas cap? They could’ve put oil in the tank, I had oil thrown at my car once and after that I bought a locking gas cap because my car smelt oily when running after the situation and a month later my heated o2 sensor went bad
That’s what I thought of also when I heard the car too I would have it towed somewhere to get looked at, wouldn’t drive it till you know what’s wrong.
@@fredfrederickson yeah, tbh me too with a car like that, mine was an old Honda Civic and they def threw used oil, so I figured worse can happen was the sensors, cat, or sending unit could go bad, so I just never ran the car with less than half a tank for a while after that

Brake fluid would cause much more damage, and plus it’s already been established as transmission fluid

If you got water in the engine components you’ll get a rough idle, just let it run or air dry should be good.

Ive had a transmission cooler line burst once on my rx7 it doused one side of the car completely and got all over the brakes, luckily it didn't cause any damage, hopefully the Benz comes out unscathed too.
