Your people call my people 😂. Loved the drill bit holder and as soon as I get my new house and shop, am putting one together. Excellent idea on the handle for your press. Makes perfect sense. Keep up the great videos 👍
Depending on what I'm making, I've had times I had to set the depth the drill press starts at and/or stops at. In those cases I end up using one of the other handles. I like your idea too. Thanks for another awesome video.
Good idea, Rob. I'm a little lost in translation. The five objects, I'm guessing, are as follows: 1. Nice handle 2. A bolt that matches the threading in the hub. 3. A galvanized pipe nipple, the opening approximately the size of the first bolt's shank. 4. A 45⁰ elbow, and a cap, the size of the nipple. 5. A larger diameter bolt, approximately the size of the opening in the ell, which is just forced/ wedged into the ell? I was thrown by the bolts, thinking they were the same size, but they are not, right?
I think you’re onto something good. One idea I had was, can you adapt an elevation or tilt wheel from an old table saw? These wheels usually have a cranking handle on them already. Just my 2¢ worth.
Nice, hope their people calls your people for that idea 😁. Btw, brilliant Idea. I do understand the problem that it's trying to solve. I've faced the same problem earlier.
Nice mod! I felt like drill presses should just have a handwheel of some manner instead of the three handled setup. Maybe my experience is unique, but I've never needed that kind of downward force when drilling anything on a press.

now THAT sir is wickedly slick!
cheers from Nova Scotia 🇨🇦
Brilliant! Some of the best ideas are simple and obvious. Isn't it amazing no one else thought of this!? I'm going to do that with my drill press.
Nice adaptation Rob! I can now think of a few more ways of doing that. 🤔🤔Thanks
That's a really cool mod, I was first thinking that you were going to use a hand crank like a table saw. I like your idea. thanks
Your idea is one of those “why didn’t I think of that?” things. I’ll be modifying my drill press handle soon.
Brilliant modification, Rob! 😃
I'm going to keep this one in mind case I ever need it!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Cool idea, Rob! I've had the same issue with my three armed drill press handle. But I just figured it was the nature of the beast.

Nice idea. I have the same problem, and i removed two of the three handles. I've thought about making shorter handles.
I like that idea. I have the same drill press and the handles are always hitting something (often my fence).
I fully agree. Your solution is Much more ergonomic. How does the 45 compares to the 90 degree elbow?

Great idea. You should apply for a patent. The tool companies might want to make that standard equipment, or sell them as an aftermarket upgrade.
That'll work! I've got the little Bosch with the wheel handle. Not the greatest design, press manufactures seem handle blind at times 😅

Wow - cool as usual Rob !
Great idea. Makes a lot of sense.

Unusual, but effective 🙂
It works and it's practical
Great idea.

👌👌👌
Build a wheel …. 😊
