Thanks a lot, I just finished fixing my wife's phone with the help of this great video!I bought and installed a preassembled touch screen + display + frame combo, so there was no need for glue.The only thing that was needed was a phillips screwdriver, the size ph0 - and some patience.
The new display will have some original fresh sealing agent on it I guess. But I want to take a used display from another but dead phone. Is there a chance to use one of those two used old elastic stripes ? I doubt that. As a substitue what could you I use foir this purpose ?

Buy a full / complete spare part (Touch screen & LCD display). You have to work slowly and remember every one element of disassembly and its position. More important part is the assembly of the new display / touchscreen. But if you have not experience with such repair I do not know what advice to give you. Very important is your dexterity. If you're not sure of yourself, you better seek assistance If I can, I will help you.

Osman Kasabaki Seems like flex cable problem, but you can't be sure 100% without replacing. You can disassemble the phone and inspect the flex cable. With magnifying glass you can see small cut or break. I suggest you to buy a flex cable first, because it's more cheap part. About the touchscreen - you must change the touchscreen and the LCD display together because they are glued.

And yes I also love this phone so much. Maybe because it's the only phone that still comes with QWERTY keypad. But again, too frequent slide could damage the cable (that's what the technician said)

For you will be more easy if you can use the Touchscreen and LCD Display assembly together with the frame, then you do not need adhesive tape. It's hard to separate the Touchscreen from the Frame by saving the tape. Use hot air to do the tape more flexible before separating.
Alex Nuse When you are installing the new spare part, use pressure to be sure that adhesive tape is glued well - 5:35. I made this for 20-30 sec. but i cut off this from my video.

This will be very hard and risky. Without disassembling you can't remove front housing. And yes, you can remove the screen and glass, but the connector for the screen flex cable is between the modo and the front housing (look at 3:30 in the video). May be you can but this is risky.

At 5.20 you are seperating a piece of metal from screen cable, I dont have this metal on my new LCD. After I changed the lcd, the screen just lighted but nothing shown :(. is the reason of this problem for I dont have this metal ??
This metal plate I take from the old LCD. It's used to be fixed the flex cable at correct position. You have many small parts and one big i.c. on the flex cable. If the flex cable isn't on correct position, some parts from the flex cable recline the bezel and do short-circuit.

i flash a custom kit kat rom it work fine at the begining but when i try to use the keyboard the touch screen stop to work, after restar it work again, so i decided to ga back to ICS and then the touch screen stop to work completly, in other forms says its bricked so thats why i askked you if changing the screen will work again. thanks for your answers
John Prathap If this happen after LCD replacing, you have a short circuit. You must to open it and check it (around the I.C. on the flex / ribbon cable 4:30).
I'm thinking you have main board problem. This is more probably (if you haven't LCD replacing). May be water liquid or burned element, but the phone must be opened for checking.

Your phone can't recognize when you open and close the KB. The phone must have a sensor at the motherboard and a small magnet at the upper housing. Without the phone in my hands I can't find the position of the magnet. You can try to found it with the help of a small pin, or move a small magnet on the keyboard to find the place of the sensor.

If you want to change only the touch screen, yes you can. But this is not easy operation. Use hot air and molybdenum cutting wire. And be ready if you broke the LCD to buy full set LCD+Touch. The difference in the price is not to big. I prefer to change full LCD+touch.

Do you have a vibration when you try to power on the phone? Do you check the battery voltage? Check the Main Flex cable connector - 1:40
ZFix i checked both are ok...no vibration... only when i connect it via usb it responds with a red light.
