    Hi everyone! We're glad you're enjoying the video. Many of you have speculated as to why the identity of the airline is concealed. This is to comply with the social media policies of the airline. Please keep your comments respectful, and thanks for watching!

      Well you guys did a pretty bad job of concealing the airlines. If you know the major US airlines you can figure out who he works for

    Lol I can imagine enjoying the responsibility of having 300+ passengers lives in your hands. I would feel a great deal of pressure to keep them safe and remain vigilant

    That looks more like a boeing 787-8 assuming that you're flying those now since the 747-400s now are all retired.

      They're still flying, for many major airlines, just not being built anymore. The 747-8x is the latest. And that's a 74 he's leaning out of the flight deck wind of in the beginning before the video starts.

    I flew on "ACME Airlines" a few days ago while I'd love to be an airline pilot the fact is that until I get seniority it would be worse than my job now with worse pay 😣

    12 years and he’s still a first officer

      At most majors it can take between 8 to 15 years to upgrade to captain under present conditions. Also maybe he chose not to be a captain if he was eligible because that means he goes to the bottom of the seniority list for captains. He wouldn't have the schedule or flexibility that a senior first officer enjoys. Also the responsibilities of of captain is not something all pilots enjoy.
      It's all about choices for your desired lifestyle.

    I’m thinking of becoming a commercial airline pilot, but I have a couple of visible tattoos on my arm. Do most airlines let you wear long sleeve shirts to cover them up?

    • @briancollins4569
      @briancollins4569 6 лет назад

      Logan Dumont I wear long sleeves regardless of the weather to help protect my arms from sun damage. If you can hide them during an interview and while you’re at work you will be just fine.
